Currently trying to load two different types of custom POI onto a Nuvi 255. Have different directorys set up for each type of POI on computer and using Garmin POI Loader. I only end up with the last POI file I loaded from computer and not both sets. Is there a way to have more than one custom set of PIO's without putting everything in one file ie; Warning Sirens and Radio towers??

I have an old C330 and was thinking about upgrading. The battery as died and it's just time for a new unit. However, I have many destinations saved in my FAVORITES. How do I backup and save those and how do I put them on a new Garmin?

Hey to all the members.
I have a question on, can I or any of you set the redlight cameras and the speed cameras to be directional. I see here in sunny AZ that we have alot of these cameras only in 1 direction and it would be nice if possible to set the alerts to only alert if that camera poses a threat in that specified direction. So with all your help is this a doable task!!!!

I have Garmin GPS and recently when I hook-up the USB cable from my Computer a it is suddenly black out screen and I could not turn it on again?

Does anyone know what wrong with my GPS? I would appreciate your advices?

Have a garmin 265t when using the POI loader the program freezes up and don't upload a thing sometimes I have to clear my POI extras and reload them one by one for the program to work properly is their any advice

Ok, so i unlocked the maps in Mapsource - Check
Transferred them to the mobile pc program - Check
Opened up mobile pc, no maps!!

I see the gmapsupp.img in the mobile pc folder, why is this not working??

If I set my proximity alert as a tour guide (to get a radial proximity) to the max distance. Will I continuously get an alert as long as I am within the set proximity for that POI or will it just alert me just once?

how do you set the proximity alert on street pilot c5xx series? alerts are loaded and proximity alert box is checked in the setup

Can you have both MSN Direct and Traffic Alerts at the same time? I understand that both recievers come on charging cable and you could use one at a time. I will appreicate your feedback.

I recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 680. What happens if I install poi from this site that are already included with the 680? Also is there a program that will allow you to look at the included poi's?

I have been fighting with this for a while. When I use the POI loader on my 750, how do I tell the loader to load the files on the J drive (sd card in the 750) instead of it automatically loading them into the unit itself? There are no prompts that come up. The only option I have is where are the POI's are coming from.

I have tried every combination to get the Nuvi to show a speed alert & play an MP3 at the same time.

The mp3 downloaded from Gary Hayman’s site –(excellent) – works in iTunes fine.

The files in the Garmin/POIcollection folder are:

Schools_Speed_55.bmp
Schools_Speed_55.csv
Schools_Speed_55.mp3

Used PoiLoader to transfer the files to the Nuvi.

What information am I able to transfer to an SD card in the C330? I have heard that this is very limited and not worthwhile.

I uploaded the Pass_Port_America.V.csv using the POI loader and it didn't add the addresses or phone numbers. Why?

Tonight I was beginning to prepare for a trip next week to Nashville. I just purchased tickets for the Grand Ole Opry and wanted to see how best to get there. I was there once before but stayed at the hotel which provided transportation.
