Nuvi 755T $299

If you don't need Bluetooth, Tiger GPS has the nuvi 755T for $299

Tax?

I looked at this one too but they wanted to charge tax even though they are in CT...they must have something tied to CA to charge tax. Anyway, the added tax brought the price to within $30 of the 765T.

$299 is still good if compared to the 750 with no traffic or traffic capable charger...if you need that stuff.

Tax

I wonder why they wanted to charge tax even though they are out of state. I sell stuff online and only charge tax to residents of this state.

TigerDirect has outlets all over

TigerDirect has facilities all over. They purchased CompUSA recently. So if they have an office, warehouse or outlet in your state, they have to charge tax.

If they have warehouses in the state you live in, even if shipped from another state they have to charge the tax.

here is their disclaimer:

Tiger GPS only charges sales tax for orders being shipped to the states of California (8.25%), Illinois (6.25%), and Connecticut (6.0%) because that is where our company has offices. Tax is calculated according to shipping address. If you are a legally tax-exempt organization or an authorized reseller, you may be exempted from paying sales tax by faxing the appropriate documents prior to your order at 509-561-6735.
