Speed cameras alerts set at 7mph ??? very annoying

hi guys,

i've been using Redlight cameras POIs which are very good and I like to keep that up to date. more and more of areas surrounding me introduces red light cameras, the most annoying thing in the world ...

anyways, I have a question about Speed cameras. Since I started using this POI too I noticed it gives nothing but headache.

in most cases it alerts with annoying beep the 7MPH speed alert and I drive a lot and honestly haven't seen any other alert from this type in my area... deleting it from GPS now, too annoying.

anybody experiencing this too?

i'm using Garmin 265T in mostly NJ/NY/PA areas, but going further south too in my trips (last time from Florida up to Jersey).

numbers in file name.

It is unlikely it is the speed camera file from POI factory that is causing your problem, unless you renamed it from the default name. The problem you describe is usually caused by a source POI file that has a number in the name (such as 7-Eleven.csv). If you have such a file, rename it so it has no numbers in the file name, then rerun POI Loader.

Change the Name

Change the name of the 7-eleven file to seven-eleven!

dobs108 smile

let us know

if it works now

fixed the poi file name and reloaded

time will tell if this was it, i have a feeling that you hit the issue on the head smile
7-eleven file name and 7mph alert warning, doubt it was a coincidence smile
