Use Lifetime map updater on second nuvi?

Hi all,
I just purchased a refurbished Nuvi 255W because I sent my 260W back after receiving a recall notice about a battery problem. I needed a Nuvi for a trip that I am taking before the 260 is sent back to me.
Here's my question: Will I be able to use the lifetime map update that I purchased for my 260 to update maps on the refurbished 255W?
Also, will my SD card from the 260 work if I inser it into the 255?

Did you update the 260W before you sent it back? If so your hooped, if not your still hooped. Once it used on one of your units its branded for that unit. If I'm not mistaken it latches on to your registered serial number.

They should transfer it for you as they gave you a refurb.

No they didn't, he bought one. Chances are he has the newest maps anyways, good enough for his trip.

Just insert your sd card, you'll see right away.
If there are favorites on there it should ask you if you want to add them.

On the refurbished Nuvi 255W
On the refurbished Nuvi 255W you should be able to get a one time update.Some users have reported that to be the case.
