Just got back from 2 week trip to mountains of NC...
Beautiful weather! Anything I asked of the 660 was entirely successful!

For those of you that use Garmin Express, and there are updates available, do you update it no matter what?. Even though the update is for a foreign country? I only update if it pertains to me in the US. Is this correct? There isn't something special in the updates, is there?

I recently purchased a Garmin 3580 GPS with USA maps. I have UK and Ireland maps on another SD card, which worked perfectly when put in my Garmin 52LM slot. But when I put this card in the slot of the 3580, it does not recognize the maps. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

So I checked my account and I now have a 'Windmill' badge.
I think it's a big deal on this forum if you have this badge but what exactly does it mean and what benefits do you get because of it?

I read that Streets and Trips will no longer be updating to newer years. The 2013 will be available until the end of 2014. They will service it into 2015 sometime.
I liked it as I could print out a detail of various trips planned.

First of all, I did a full system backup before I started so I can always go back if I have to.

I offered to update the map on a friend's Nuvi 50LM but made the mistake of not understanding the differences between it and my Nuvi 1450.

Issue #1:

So I'm driving around and I'm using my Garmin 3597 and needed some gas. So i use my Garmin to find me a gas station which it does with no issues; but then i start to think... wouldn't it be really cool if it could also sort (instead of just by distance) by lowest price?

GE shows I have ALL of the vehicle bundles installed. However, I only have one vehicle on unit, and a couple of backups in a directory on the SD.

So where are these? ANd, how do I get rid of them. Heck, I don't remember even downloading them, unless Garmin backgrounded it somehow.

So I'm having an issue that is only occurring with intersections. I know that you can save intersections because I have others saved, but in this particular instance, I find the intersection, click the "i" and then click on the menu pullout and click save. The menu pullout disappears, but nothing happens.

Is there a way to customize the Where to screen? Ok you can add short cuts the toe where to screen but there is no option for Custom POIs.

We are renting a uhaul truck to move my son to his new apartment. Is there any way to use the Garmin GPS Nuvi 775 to avoid parkways. Or is there any online sources to map directions for a truck. Thanks.

As posted above, knowing what you know now, say you wanted to purchase both a Garmin automobile navigator and a smartphone with Garmin app, what would you get?

Would you get a Garmin Nüvi 3597LMTHD for the windshield and an Apple iPhone 5S with the Garmin StreetPilot Onboard app?

So finally today I bought nuvi 3590LMT instead of getting 2597lmt, any suggestions? Hopefully I made a right choice

I was in England last year and had my GPS stolen. I had to buy another Nuvi 52LM to find my way around, but unfortunately it only had the UK, Ireland maps on it.

Is there a difference in the data provided for a Garmin CSV or a Rand McNally CSV? Question comes from looking at the POI for WinCo and a few others that show a GPX for Garmin and a CSV for Rand McNally.

Basically, will the RM CSV be the same as if created for Garmin?

Thinking about getting new garmin nuvi 2597lmt, any suggestions? complains? better models?
