There's probably about 100,000+ fire stations around the US. If you have a database list with their addresses, I would be happy to create a POI for them. In the mean time, I created Fire Departments US (CSV Format) located at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/31640 .

This would be more for the RVers but I have been trying to build a file on Specialize Fiberglass repair shops in the US and Canada. Not having much luck.

Search "zone" in http://www.poi-factory.com/poifiles/alpha and you will see several school traffic zones. Perhaps contact the creators of those POIs and request a School Traffic Zones in Pennsylvania POI.

POIs - points of interest - are points (geographic coordinates), not zones. A POI can be coded to mark the beginning of school traffic zones. An alert similar to the one used for poi-factory's •Red Light & Speed Cameras POI can be added to the POI to alert you to the upcoming beginning of a school traffic zone.

The problem is getting the location of each school traffic zone beginning. Likely, there would be a city traffic sign at that spot and perhaps the city has each of those traffic signs locate via address or geocoordinates. If you provide me a list of the location of each beginning of each school traffic zone for 75 miles surrounding Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I would be happy to create a POI file for you.

I was sitting in a motel after a days delay after a snow storm and was rambling through what people want and came across yours.
There are more than 22,000 fire houses across the USA so I would suggest several files and use the ones in the area you are going to.

http://www.50states.com/iowa/fire_departments.htm would list all the fire departments in Iowa. Using this site would give you most of the Fire stations.
If one does the math 22000 stations and if you are efficient you get the coordinates every 5 minutes you would take 110000 minutes to complete this POI or 1834 hours of work. Have fun

I started looking in to the fuelperks program and started creating a poi. I then discovered that there are multiple fuelperks programs.
There are:fuelperks.com at http://www.fuelperks.com/cppublic/fuelperks/find.html, Winn Dixie at http://www.winndixie.com/Fuelperks/fuelperks_Gas_Station_Loc..., Giant Eagle at http://www.gianteagle.com/StoreLocator/Default.aspx, Bi Lo at http://www.bi-lo.com/fuelperks/. And I am not to sure how many more.

For instance, Winn Dixie is in the south (Florida) and a search of Florida at the Fuelperks web site brings them up as part of the program (over 100 locations). They are a subset of the main Fuelperks site. Same as Bi Lo, Giant Eagle, and others.

Unless we can find a list direct from Fuelperks, it is too difficult to create this poi. The only way possible is to get multiple maintainers working on it and each does a region or particular store.
Maybe break it down to Bi Lo, Winn Dixie, Giant Eagle, etc and then merge them.

Roundy's turns out to be part of the subset also.

Do you have a link for the listings of difficulty rating, loop or point to point, etc.?

The POIs in this area seem to use "trail" in their title (Appalachian Trail Shelters, Coastwalk California Coastal Trail, etc.)

Werskine, maintainer for Hiking/Backpacking POI, might be a person to contact for this. I usually work on POIs where I can find the dataset already put together.

Two suggestions: (1) Start a POI project forum topic Hiking/Backpacking Trail and post your request there. That way, it will come up more easily in a search of POI-Factory. (2) See if Miss POI will put together a Hiking/Backpacking Trail POI package for similar to the one at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/28901 that lists in one place all the hiking, backpacking, trail POIs.
