I just installed City Navigator North America 2014.40 on my Garmin nevi 2350LMT using Garmin Express v3.0.7.0. So while the unit was still hooked up to my Mac I decided to do some preliminary work on a drive to Gatlinburg, TN using Garmin Roadtrip. When the app launched I got the usual dialog reporting that the new map was locked and recommending that I unlock it online.

I have an 8GB sd card in my Nuvi 260W. I'd like to erase non-essential files to make more room. Here is a list of the files in the Garmin folder on the sd card at present.

What do you suggest I erase to create more space?

What format do I need to use a 4GB sd card in my Nuvi 260W? I use a MBP computer and will format/reformat the SD card w/ Disk Utility.

I have been trying to delete custom Poi's on dezl 790 with a mac. Have deleted all poi files on mac. Using Poi loader says all Poi are removed, but they are still on Gps. Managed to remove shortcuts & favourites, but custom Poi;s are still there. Can anyone help?

Just found it available... and it now has all the advanced options to download and install to more than just the GPS only... Finally...

Just installed, all is well.

I am trying to put my POIs on my up-to-date Nuvi 755T through an SD card.

I formatted the 2 GB card with Disk Utility as Fat32 with MBR and placed it in the card slot on my iMac.

When I tried to install the POIs from POILoader onto the card it stayed at "Initializing" for over 15 minutes before I cancelled it.

If anyone is able to point out what is wrong I would apprecite it.

Just downloaded BaseCamp 4.2.1.0 for Mac.

Two part question.

Some time ago, Diesel told me that I could find the maps I d/l from Garmin to my Mac computer here:

HD:Users:MYNAME:Library:Caches:com.garmin.LifetimeMapUpdate

I found that they are also here:

Is there an Extra POI Editor for Mac users? If so, where is the download site; if not, are there work arounds...?

Anyone have comments on Google Maps for navigation? Haven't tried it yet. I've seen articles that indicate it has some drawbacks, like 1) Contacts file not accessible, and 2) serious turn-by-turn errors--like Apple's Maps.

Version 2.2.2 released 11/15/12 -- hit the Mac AppStore updates section...

It works - but not all that well...

If one wants to use a wifi only iPad with a navigation app - an external GPSr is a must - as is an app that stores its maps on the device.

iPhone5 users will see an "Updater" that installs first to facilitate OTA updates that had a bug in the iOS6.0 release.

Other iOS device users can update over the air, or - via iTunes if they want to do it that way.

Seeing that it's getting close for another round of Lifetime Updates... I fired up the updater and it updated itself... so, fellow Mac users, update your Lifetime Updater before its needed to fetch your Lifetime Update.
