Not GPS but Mac Iphone App related question.....

I realize it isn't GPS related.... Hope it's not an issue here.

I admit to not being Mac or Iphone 6 smart... Wife will shortly be upgrading from Iphone6 to (Probably) Iphone 7. I'll retire my old flip phone and receive her Iphon6... Local Verizon store said they'd do that for us.... so everybody keeps their contacts, etc.

My question is about the Calendar App on her (shortly my) Iphone 6, and the Calendar App on her Iphone 7 (when she gets it)....

Or some other App if that would be better.... that would run on Iphone 6 & 7...

What we'd LIKE to do is have it so that either of us enters something in the calendar, it will "auto-magically" appear in BOTH Her and My phone's calendar... Is that Possible with Iphone 6 & 7 Calendar App????? OR... Some Other App???

(We share same email address, though the two phones have two different phone numbers (847xx and 224xx)

Thanks in advance..... Jan

Just use the Family

Just use the Family calendar, which is shared, for stuff you want to share. When you make an appointment on the calendar, choose which calendar you want to use. The Shared Family calendar or another calendar that isn't shared.

iCrap

That's what I call my 2 iPhones, 1 iPod and 1 iPad.

You enter the info into the calendar on one it gets transferred to the other, May have to look into some setting to make sure it does.

Too do anything with sharing

Too do anything with sharing you have too have an Apple ID and password. You have to apply a credit card also. But unless actually buy something there won't be any charges. You would have to enter a password before you would ever be charged. And don't share your wife's Id. It messes up sharing something terrible.

No credit card required

I set my Apple ID some time ago. On the CC screen, buried down near the bottom is a link to not use a CC when setting the account up. Find that and you're golden.

How to share an iCloud

How to share an iCloud calendar on your iPhone
Launch the Calendar app from your Home screen.
Tap on the Calendars button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap on the Info button next to the calendar you'd like to share.
Tap on the Add Person... option under the Shared With section.
Type the name of the person you'd like to share the calendar with.

Tap on the person's name or email address in the list to add them. Tap Add in the top right corner of your screen.
Tap Done in the upper right corner.

The calendar will now be shared with everyone whose iCloud account you've added. They'll simply receive a calendar notification asking them to accept your invite. Once they do they'll be able to view and edit events. Remember, calendar sharing currently only works with iCloud calendars. Both you and the person you want to share the calendar with have to be using iCloud.
