??? Two Mac-incompatible .gpx POI Factory library files ...any ideas?

I've read about some POI files appending .txt and .xml to the end of the .gpx or .csv extensions on a Mac. When it happened on .csv I just removed the .txt extension and it all worked fine. However, although 20 of the 24 I just installed are .csv, the remaining 4 are .gpx.

Mac / Safari / POI Loader

A few Mac users have reported that POI Loader is not finding files that were downloaded with recent versions of Safari.

POI Loader seems to work with files that are downloaded with Firefox or received as email attachments.

If you're having troubles transferring POI files that were downloaded with Safari, you may need to download with Firefox instead.

Cannot mount nuvi 200W on 10.4

When I plug my Nuvi 200W into the USB cable, it comes back with a warning about an uninitialized drive.

I tell it to ignore and all I see is the SD card get mounted.

When I use disk utility, I see the raw device, but it's file system is some kind of PGP blah blah blah.

Am I missing something?

Garmin's Bobcat software for Mac

I am using the replacement software for Mapsource for Mac call Bobcat(http://www8.garmin.com/macosx/). This post has a couple purposes. The first is to get more people using Bobcat so that Garmin has more feedback. The other is to start discussion about how it works or doesn't work.

Difficulty Uploading Speed and Redlight POI

Hello:

POI Loader Alerts

From what I understand when ever I update my POIs (Red Light Cameras, etc). All of my other POIs have to be reloaded also. I'm thinking when I reload everything I have to manually go back through and reset all alert distance information. Am I right? This is really a pain!

New Mac POI organizer program

For those of you who did not read my other posts, A good friend of mine has developed a new Mac POI Organizer program. The program will allow users to manage POI's with a iTunes-like interface, view a map of the POI, export directly to GPS through Garmin's POI Loader program, search for a particular POI, import addresses from Mac's Address Book and geocode the address and more.

Axiotron Modbooks

We are supposed to be getting one of these babies in to play with for a week or two in the near future (I don't know if I'll get any real quality time with it since we want to use it as a table attached to a projector in a classroom - so that is the primary focus of our attention)

But it appears as if built in GPS is part of the hardware specs -

Mac ov2 conversion

Firstly, happy Mother's Day to all that qualify.

Secondly, I have a Marble Slab fanatic friend who is a bit computer illiterate. I was unable to find a file here, but found one on a TomTom site. Naturally it was in ".ov2" format.

Is there a Mac program that will open it so I am able to make it a ".csv" file? When I right-click the file the only program in the list is Route Buddy.

2009 Map Update for Nuvi 650 on Mac

Just got a free update for my 650. I was originally told by Garmin support that the 650 was not one of the units eligible for the free upgrade to users who bought their units less than 2 months before the new 2009 maps were released. However, Garmin support contacted me a couple of days ago and said that they had changed their policy and the 650 was now eligible.

TomTom Home for Mac updated

TomTom owners with Macs should know that the Home GPS manager is now updated. It is for the GO, ONE, ONE XL, and RIDER devices.

How do I download GPX files and MP3 Files

Hi,

I am a newby to POI Factory and am using a MacBook.

When I try and download GPX file using Foxfire for Mac it labels it as a MPEG file so won't POI loader doesn't see it.

If I use Safari it downloads but stays in the Safari download window but this only allows me to open or remove files.

Also I can't seem to figureout how to download MP3 files.
