Search in Bobcat

I've have not used a more user unfriendly piece of software in a long time. There is basically no Help to find suggestions in. I want to search for an address and the search box simply won't take an address. I think I've set the 'Find' box right and also the 'near' box but it doesn't let me enter an address in the box after 'containing'. In fact I'm trying to find 300 E Main in Lake Geneva, WI which is the Comfort Inn. The motel isn't in the data base that I can see, so I'm using the address. I'm not impressed with this software at all unless I'm missing something that someone can point out to me. I'm using Leopard on an original Intel iMac. Thanks

Can't help you with Bobcat, however, using my Nüvi 670, I entered that address and came up with the following coordinates:
300 E Main St, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
N 42.59231, W -88.41952

I got that however I was determined to see if I could learn how Bobcat works. I have not been successful doing that. It's not a pretty piece of software. I realize it's beta tho.

Hi Geochapman,
The address search did not work for me as well using Bobcat Version 2.0.0.7 Beta.
I checked Google Maps for the Comfort Inn address and then zoomed in to that area in Bobcat.
Bobcat shows two POI's near 300 E. Main St.

If you select the Waypoint tool in Bobcat and place it near the intersection of West Dr. and 50 (E. Main St) you can create your own waypoint.

Bobcat 2.0.0.8 gives...
the following for 300 E Main St in Lake Geneva, WI.
Lat: N42.59228
Lon: W88.41955
Also, it found lots of other such addresses in towns near Lake Geneva.
