POI loader crashing/Audio fles

Hello everyone, I have this problem I'm trying to load .wav files as audio alerts using Garmin POI Loader on a Garmin Nuvi 260 running OSX 10.5 Leopard and the program crashes every time but if I do it without any audio files it loads perfectly.Now I'm not sure if my audio files are 16bit wav files because Im not sure how to do that, but I know they are wav. Do you think this is the problem?

auggie - not to argue but the Nuvi 260 does not support MP3 files. There is a workaround for alerts using wave files. There are several how to's and other threads with great info about using waves files. Try try checking out:

Papa_Leech - yes, check and make sure you have the correct .wav file format: PCM 44.100kHz 16 Bit, Mono. Not sure about the version of POI loader and sox with OSX 10.5 Leopard either because we're running Windows.

Thanks for the starting point guys.Those links really helped, but I wish they had more info on Macs. Again thanks a bunch.That ATT site is awesome thats pretty much all I need for now.
