MAC USERS Question about .csv in TextEdit

How can I save a .csv file in TextEdit. When I try to save my file I do not get a choice for this format. I obviously can read .csv files but having a hard time figuring out how to save those files after I try to create one. Thanks

MapSource Macintosh compatibility???

Hi All,

Does anyone know if "any" MapSource products, is compatible with the Macintosh OS?

I have a MapSource "City Navigator" (v4.0.1 North America) that I used with my Street Pilot III. Unfortunately I had to use a friends Windows PC to program the data card.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

tailspin

Software for MAC

I purchased the Nuvi 660 back in December and love it. My wife is a teacher and uses a Mac. Does Garmin have software that supports the Mac? I read somewhere that a target date was by the end of 2006. Any suggestions???

Mac OS X

For the few of you like me using the other computer, Garmin earlier this year added Beta Software, WebUpdater and POI Loader for Mac. I have been using both for more than a month now and they works like a charm.

MAC Forum?

Miss POI,

Could you create a Mac Forum? This will give the Mac users a place to list any Mac updates and Problems with theie GPS software. The Mac updates seem to get lost in the Garmin section.
Thanks

Garmin WebUpdater for Mac Beta Problem

Yesterday I downloaded both the Mac beta versions of WebUpdater as well as the POI Loader. The POI Loader works flawlessly ( I'm using OS X (10.4) but each time I try to update the software with the WebUpdater it briefly connects, verifies the current version software on my Nuvi 350, tells me what version it's going to upgrade to and then crashes when I actually try to downloaded it.

Downloads to a Mac

I just registered and tried my first POI file download. Nothing! No matter what file I clicked on I got nothing at all. Could it be the browser I'm using or something else? I'm using OS X (10.4) Note: this isn't a problem of loading my GPS ( I've seen the various posting about Mac tools.) This is a problem actually downloading the files. Thanks.

csv file / Mac POI Loader

Newby here and to GPS. I have a Garmin 2720 and use a Mac computer.
I've downloaded the new beta releases from Garmin and the updater works fine. But in trying the POI loader I'm having a little trouble. I downloaded some POI's from this site and they come in csv file.

FYI - Mac users

Garmin has released

Web updater & POI uploader for OS X.

Both are beta and can be downloaded from their site.

Hi all,

Can anyone give me directions on how to do the following ?

1) Download POIs to a MAC
2) Upload POIs from a MAC to a Garmin Unit
3) Create a POI from an address

I am trying to document the locations of Natural Gas Stations other alternative fuel stations in America, but have never done this before. I've got a Garmins c330 and an old powerbook pismo ( with OSX installed ).

If you're a Mac user and having problems with POI files . . .

Well, being new to this doesn't help, but, although I've had a Garmin for many years, my new Nuvi 660 is the first one I can upload the custom POI's.

Hello everyone

I'm glad I found this site when I did. I have read through some of the posts and have found them to be quite helpful. I haven't purchased a GPS unit yet. I have been looking at different options for the last couple of weeks. I need to purchase one for my work truck asap. I am a mac user and it seems the only one that offers support is TomTom.
