Floor mount anyone?

I am new here, just bought my first GPS today but since it wasn't new, I did not get a mounting kit. I was told to stay away from the windshield suction mounts anyway. I was thinking about one of those air vent mounts, but in my Jetta, it will interfere with my cupholder. Has anyone every seen or tried one of these floor mounts:

It looks like it might be the thing but I was hoping to hear if anyone has tried one.
Thanks from a newb.

Bean Bag Mount

I use the Garmin "bean bag" mount and it works fairly well on a horizontal dash. In my car, the dash is too sloped so, I put it on my console. Works fairly well. I read in other posts the vent mounts have quite a bit of movement so, I didn't go for that style. Good luck.

Interesting

If this looks like it wouldn't interfere with your passenger, then it would seem to be a good way to go. So far, I have gotten away with just dropping the suction cup mount into a cup holder. It's easy to lift out and hide.

absolutely no problems with

absolutely no problems with windsheild mount, make sure that you windex it and the cup and you will be fine (that goes for the c530 mount at least)

I was concerned about the bean bag mount as if I am responding to an emergency, I will take corners a little fast and in Atlanta traffic, you tend to be cut off quite often and I have to brake hard.
Do those bean bags tend to slide much when driving that way?

When I am driving my Honda

When I am driving my Honda Odyssey I make sure that my passenger has quick reflexes. It tends to slide around a lot, I don't have that issue in my Ford Taurus.

mine does that from time to time, but I find that the ol' reliable suction cup on the dash is the best, at least for me. I wet the suction cup a bit, via saliva, and put it in place. The thing NEVER moves! Unfortunatly I removed the disk from my dash, as I was concerned that it might scar the dash color...which it did, so I'm picking up a new one and putting the thing back in the same place! Nothing succeds like simplicity, does it not?

P.S. If someone would like a brand new dash vent mount for the cost of shipping, let me know. I don't care for them in the least, The thing was, I seem to remember around $15.00 +or-. My Volvo vent would be 150.00 to repair! Now, I may be a Republican, but even I can figure that one out!
