Just saying hi and glad I found this website yesterday. I have been using TomTom Navigator 5/6 for just over one year with my Treo smartphone. I have it loaded with redlight cameras, speed traps, and other POI's.

Hopefully I will be able to take advantage of the great information found here and contribute with some POI's that I have planned to create in the near future.

I've got a Garmin 7200 in my truck and love it. I'm thinking about a hand held to use in my bass boat. Although I've never really gotten lost on the lake (at least not for long) I would feel a little better knowing how to get back to camp without searching.
Anyone have a Garmin 76 series and the inland lakes map? That seems to be a good one reading Garmins site. Or any other reccomendations?

Just thought I'd say a simple hello. I'm glad I found this site. This site will come in handy with the new Garmin Nuvi 350 I just bought.

I used to use a combination of Earthmate USB GPS, Street Atlas 200x and a laptop to do my navigating.

Well, after my c320 got stolen a few months ago, I broke down and bought a new garmin, nothing fancy, I got the c330 it was on sale for 269.

Well, I'm recently returned from a week long camping trip to Illinois. My first trip with the Garmin 7200 and City Navigator NT.

I'm going nuts trying to download some POI's. When I try to open a CSV file.....nothing happens. It goes to File Download, I click open.....it goes to Window IE for a second and screen is blank. In addition, I have not seen anything prompting to do anything. I'm sure frustrated over this Garmin. I bought it because of the download feature but can't get it to work. I've gone step by step.

Hi. I'm new at custom POIs. I have a Garmin iQue M4. I downloaded a POI file from this site (Kentucky State Parks) and ran Garmin's POI Loader. Everything worked up to that part. When I select "Where to", then "Food, Hotels....", then "Custom POIs" I see the file called "Kentucky State Parks" but when I click on it it says "None Found".

What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone know if Garmin will update the FIRMWARE of the 330 to allow direct GPS Coordinate entry like the NUVI? Is that even a possibility? I have left an email with Garmin about this but haven't heard anything from them.

I am new and have the Roadmate 2200T and kind of disappointed with 1.5Millions POI which is way less than the 3000t, 760. I just wonder if any one can extract the POI database from 3000t, 760 and import into the 2200t?

I'm wondering what sources are allowed for use to create POI files for this site? I have a compiled ov2 of free wifi in the phoenix area as well as some other ov2's, but they are largely created from google earth searches which I've converted with POI edit. Does anyone else do this? And is it considered valid information for this site?

is there a file for Kawasaki Bike dealers in the usa?

Do you think Garmin should have same POI updates for FREE like the TOM TOM? And don't forget TOM TOM's updates are done automatilly with its software!

I have a Nuvi 670 and would like to know if there are there any "brick & mortar" stores who sell "screen protectors". I've done searches on the 'net and although there are an abundance of places they can be purchased online, I'd just like to walk into a store and buy them over the counter.

I cannot use any poi loader in my PC....it says :system dll user32.dll was relocated and need to contact the vendor for new dll ..... Whats happening? any help....

I am using windows XP SP2 in my sytem (Conroe E6400, 1GB RAM, ...)

I was travelling via plane (Had a holdover in Washington DC) from Vermont to Norfolk Virginia. My Garmin 2720 GPS unit was packed inside my checked luggage. When i arrived home the actual gps unit and it's cable were stolen (They left the base unit). I ended up filing a police report (Vermont was the last place I had the unit so had to file it there).

When using HTML tags on this forum for webpage links, it would really help POI Factory's 'Search' option if you would display the URL or a descriptive name instead of 'here' or 'link'.

Searching for here or link really sucks; but searching for http://gpsvisualizer.com/ or GPS Visualizer will produce results.
