how do you know your gps accepted the downloaded pois??

hi how accurate is this site? sometimes i put an address on google maps and the result was a little off on the actual place.

Being a newbie, I have a question, I have downloaded a file to a folder on my computer, then opened the POI loader, copied the file to a SD Disk on the NUVI. Question is how do I get the NUVI to read the disk so that I can use the POI file?

I just want to take this time to acknowledge and thank ALL of our Veterans for their many sacrifices!

Are all icons able to have their background changed to magenta? I am having success with some but others will not accept the colour change.

Hi there, I'm new *points out the obvious* and I was wondering who you notify if you find something has changed in a file. Do you notify the person who submitted it?

Does anyone know if there is any relationship between the number of custom POI's loaded onto a Garmin NUVI 350 and a slower refresh rate, or slower aquiring sattelites? Are the custom POI's loaded into memory at startup on the NUVI, and taking up memory and cause the NUVI to refresh/react slower.
Is it better to run custom POI's from a card or copy them to the NUVI?

bfara83 you did a good job but where is the city state address Etc. For Example on your #1 File it should look like this Below

-80.305,40.60036,"Get Go Gas Station","3105 Green Garden Rd,Aliquippa,PA,15001,PH-724-378-6320"

That way all that Info will show up on the gps

Hi. This is my first post here. Fairly new to POI stuff.

Using a Kenwood system (510) in vehicle.

I brought up the direct satellite display info on screen and then read the coordinates directly from there for a location (speed camera).

It showed on screen: N47 17 294 W122 10 856 when the car was right at the location.

I converted to decimal: 47.2881 / -122.18067

the nuvi 750 has a mic, so i wonder if a guy put in the 760 firmware if it woiulkd work

I have downloaded an icon from POI factory, as well as an alert sound. I don't know how to download them into my Garmin C330. They are saved in a separate file, at this time. Help please

I just noticed this today, but when you are flying, you see airplane (airports) icons on the map (even when you are zoomed out like 50ft). I wonder if it knows that if you are going 300+ mph, that you are flying and you may be interested in airports?

I have a c330. I have loaded many of the POIs and they show up in the Custom POI file. I loaded the WiFi Hot spots (Houston & area) and they show up under Favorites. Can I group them as WiFi and place them in the Custom POIs with the others or am I stuck with the long list in Favorites?
