but only garmin don't give their customers get free update??? their software is very specific ????

Any opinions on using Garmin on the Sprint phones?

Hi, I got a flyer today from Walmart and they have the Garmin C330 on sale for less than 200 dollars, $198.84, just thought I would Pass it since they were $248.00.

I am having a horrible time trying to download pois to my garmin 650. I am not that computer literate. What I have done is downloaded a file from this web site to my computer. Then tried to copy that file into the garmin into the poi file. It does show in the garmin\poi file as a gpx file but is not on my garmin. What am I doing wrong. thanks Frank

On November 13th the Nuvi 680 becomes available at Costco and on Novenber 19th the Nuvi 650 becomes available with a $150.00 discount. No word yet on what the costs will be.

today i found a cool way to search for a street names on my nuvi 360. Im sure you guys might already know this.

"where to?"
"address"
"pick which state"
"search All"
"skip "the enter house number" by clicking done
"enter street name"
"choose the top choice for "Aly, Cir, Ct, Ln, St" etc
"then choose city"
it seems to work sometimes but not always which i don't understand why...

Although I've used the 660 for about a year, I have just discovered the POI Factory.

Just how do I find out how much memory the 660 has?
Should all downloads be on a SD card to save internal memory, or does the 660 have lots of memory?

Garmin haqs announced a new set of maps to be made available that are aimed at senic drives. One set of regional maps for the whole country and another set for weekend getaways. For the Zumo folks they have a set for the nation biggest motorcycle rallies.

Hi everyone i am new from brooklyn newyork these red light cameras are growing by the hour how do i add the locations of these cameras?

I have a Nuvi 650 which was sent as a replacement from Garmin for a Nuvi 650 which would not acquire satellites. I have tried to download additional vehicles through webupdater and tried to download files using poi loader and I get the same error message, "parameter is incorrect." I have tried to download the files using windows xp and vista with no luck.

just curious, how come i'm not an active user, its been 2 weeks and 2 days.......thanks

Garmin ad during a football game....one of their Christmas ads...with the "give a give a give a Garmin" take-off of a the traditional tune...

The Rant: It's not even (bleep) Halloween yet, and they feel it necessary to run Christmas ads. By the time it gets here, I'm already so sick of the ads that I can't wait for Christmas to be over.

Does anyone know how, if possible, to change the time between sound alerts. My 660 gives a sound alert about every 5-6 seconds. This gets nerve racking when the alerts are set to start 2 miles from the POI.

I've had my Zumo 550 since May07 and took it from Vancouver to Sturgis and back this past summer. I wish I had run into this site before. The rest stops POI would have helped us plan our route with interim stops alot easier.

can i use a msn reciever for my c550

I just got my 760 last week and transferred my Custom POI's over. The poi loader finds the garmin but my only option is Garmin\E. I recieve the error message "there was a problem transferring your custom POI's to your device. Run poi again. Strange because they did transfer over. Anyone else seeing this or am i just a Noob?
