Naming POIs

I have just downloaded my first Poi file. When I ask my Garmin Nuvi 350 for a specific place (ie Camping World in Syracuse) it cannot find it but I know my new file was downloaded properly because it is in the POIs in Garmin. Is there a specific way to name the locations with the addresses.

Also can I delete some of the locations from a file

Thanks

Hi Netav123,

From the main screen choose "Where To" -> "Extra's" -> "POI" and scroll down to the "Camping World in Syracuse" POI file you uploaded to your unit. The POI's that shipped with your unit are in a separate database, whereas the custom POI's you "add" to your unit, are found in the "Extra's" -> "POI" section.

HTH (hope that helps)

Hi Netav123,

The POI's that "shipped" with your unit are in a separate database, whereas the custom POI's you "add" to your unit, are found in the "Extra's" -> "POI" section.

You can search your custom POI's or Favorites, by selecting "spell".

Just name the file whatever you want and that's how the name will appear on your Nüvi 350. For example "Camping World - Syracuse.csv" or "Camping World in Syracuse.gpx". Just change the name of the file before you upload it to your unit.
