Social Security payment was early
My wife and I have been getting our Social Security checks on the second Wednesday of the month. That's how it's worked from the very first payment over ten years ago. Well, this month we received our checks yesterday, Saturday, July 9, instead of this coming Wednesday, the 13th. Anyone else receive their SSA checks early this month?

Newbie needs help understanding use of custom POI files
Hi All! This newbie has spent over an hour on the POI-Factory website reading FAQs and discussions but remain unclear about how a custom POI file is used.
One specific scenario that I would find valuable is to be alerted every time there is a rest area 30 miles ahead or to see one by using the "Up Ahead" function.

How Long Would You Wait For a Red Light?
My wife and I were on vacation in Golden Colorado a couple of weeks ago and were were on our way to Denver airport to catch an early flight. We stopped for red red light and waited 6 full minutes but it didn't turn green. It was 2 AM and there was absolutely no traffic on the road. I backed up and pulled up to the stop line again thinking I didn't trip the timer.

I Just Had My Picture Took (Google Streetview)
by a Google camera. I was outside weed-whipping, when he drove by. I had my back to him, so no privacy issues. By the way, they must have some high speed cameras, cause he was driving fast. Now, how long before I am immortalized on Google.

silly but economic theory prevails?
That time we got our tire patched at Costco, for whatever reason, the tech replaced the green valve stem cap (part of a kit when they replaced the tires), which is long and round, with a normal one, which is shorter and more angular, i.e. normal.

very bizarre auto AC HVAC recharge experience
This is my first ever contact with auto HVAC. the reason is I've never had a car with any issue so no need.
Anyway my wife's GM SUV has had a hissing sound that cycles, for at least this year.
Last week, I think it was Wed., it was very hot and humid. So when I drove her car to work, it was probably only 70F at most, and the car was dripping water front and rear (rear evap), so good.

on refrigerators
I came up with some articles (multiple) that discussed how long a refrigerator should run, prior to adding food, when it is new.
Some said 24 hours, others said 2 esp. Samsung.
So doesn't this imply that due to the normal function of the refrigerator, it is hard to lower the temp (unlike the freezer which normally increases, and drops, 8 degrees each cycle)?
