Alexa does not lie

I'm sure it's or she's programmed to tell the truth lol

I was getting concerned with Alexa complying to my wife's requests for various holiday music.

So I said hold on, let me test her out for a second.

Asked her to play a specific tune by a specific artist, and to my relief, she responded that would only be included with Amazon Music Unlimited. Here's a song based on....

Happy Thanksgiving (USA)

Thankfulness is the quickest path to joy.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

what would you do in these two cases? :-)

case 1. purchased eyeglasses, using FSA, they're delayed by over 7+ days, ordered 10/31 and should have been delivered a week or so ago. Got an email to follow-up, delayed.

Log in and since I had the same glasses in the cart, saw the price had dropped $72 for Black Friday!

It takes a lot more than a Hurricane named Nicole to keep Mahoney down!

It did slow him down a bit, but after a week away from POI Factory, he's already updated 14 POI Files.

Thank you for all you do for our community, Bill!

exercises in futility

What are some exercises in futility (or stupidity) you can think of?

Here's an example or two to get started:

Slam a revolving door.

Herd squirrels through the forest.

Illiterate? Write for free help.

Hopeless customer service like the 80's?

I pre-order these limited edition CDs because I learned--they go up in value, sometimes 3X+. So why wouldn't I?

Example, I bought 2 @ $60 on eBay, when the face value is $28, and last year, sold one for $180. That is when they are sealed--not when someone opens to make a copy then sells.

unable to post

I am unable to post in Keeping the Windmill alive.I was able to download the poi files but not able to post?? Hopefully I don't lose my privileges.

Nicole (hurricane) impact

Just to let members know, Nicole knocked out power to our home for almost the last 2 days. That's why I haven't been able to respond to comments. Thankfully, no home damage. Lots of debris in the yard. The last 2 have passed over us and I don't want this to become a habit.

Veteran's Day

With respect, honor and gratitude, thank you veterans.

when a mistake lasts 50 years

During the pandemic I sold my first item on eBay, so I wanted a means of shipping...I found online that I could open a UPS account. Got a really good discount, to illustrate--

Say I wanted to ship a 3 lb box from PA to CT. If I walked into a UPS Store, the going rate would be about $21.

Odd Cemetery Names

Most of you who have been around the Factory any length of time, probably know me as the Cemetery guy. I thought I would share some odd cemetery names I came across in Missouri. Some of them probably have an interesting story behind them. Other states probably have some just as odd. Let me know if you have ever came across any other strange ones.

Powerball

I bought a single Powerball $2 ticket for last night's drawing and I hit only one number. Nobody hit all the numbers so the next drawing on Wednesday goes to $1.2 billion.
