credit card and flights

I'm of the camp, no more credit cards. I used to have a perfect FICO but it dropped when I financed the HVAC 0% for 60 mos. So yes I use credit to earn 2% cash back, and 5% revolving, and 5% gas cash back permanently. But am not open to new credit. I want to have no debt.

We have to go to Chicago for my wife's bday as that's where her family is meeting.

did you ever Re-watch a movie (nostalgic feeling)

And get a real reminiscent or nostalgic feeling?

I often think of things past from conversations.

This week it was Fort Apache The Bronx.

So I bought the DVD for $6 and watched it.

I saw it in the theater and was underage. This was a time when it was possible to sneak in to other theaters and see maybe 3 movies on 1 ticket.

public campgrounds: US and Canada; federal, state, county, city, military

Am back online and on the road after a long hiatus. Was checking your campground files to see what was new. Seems nothing in recent years and nothing that covers all public campgrounds. Am a little hesitant to post a link as the faqs seem to sort of frown on them. But this guy put together an incredible list and it just has to be shared.

Ok yous guys (lottery)

Now that the lottery has broached 1 Billion dollars, would the lot of you quit buying lottery tickets so I can prop up my retirement by Wilmington this bloody thing? smile

are coincidences more common today?

We were at Citi Field a weekend ago, in the nosebleeds.

Start talking to a person directly in front of us, and turns out he lives in the same town in PA, 129 miles away.

Got together and hung out yesterday, our two families. He also has elementary school kids, now this is bizarre too, where my son attends.

just when you thought there were no good deals

We did a trip to NYC last weekend, and even at the Holland Tunnel I felt we got hammered for $6 each time more than we should with the elimination of the car pool rate (3 or more occupants) at all crossings except the Lincoln.

Updated Garmin DriveSmart 65 With Amazon Alexa No Magenta Line While Routing

I updated my Garmin GPSs last night and this afternoon while using my Garmin DriveSmart™ 65 with Amazon Alexa I no longer see the magenta line while routing. Can someone refresh my memory on how to restore it, please?

Routine GPS use may negatively impact spatial memory

There was a research study published in 2020 which showed negative impact on spatial memory on people who routinely use GPS.

on refrigerators

I came up with some articles (multiple) that discussed how long a refrigerator should run, prior to adding food, when it is new.

Some said 24 hours, others said 2 esp. Samsung.

So doesn't this imply that due to the normal function of the refrigerator, it is hard to lower the temp (unlike the freezer which normally increases, and drops, 8 degrees each cycle)?
