fun with gmail
I've had it since 2005, when we had to be "invited" to get an account lol
I decided we better spend the FSA dollars because as usual, unneeded.

Halloween
I don't see that anyone has posted anything about Halloween. With Halloween being a time for gremlins and goblins I chose the post subject as simply Halloween instead of Happy Halloween. Scary Halloween might have been an appropriate subject heading.

New portable screens with Apple Carplay and Android Auto
I just notice few days ago that there few portable display screens with Apple Carplay and Android Auto built-in. You pair these devices with your phone via Bluetooth to user Google maps or Waze or other maps on your phone for navigation. Some of these devices also come with maps pre-installed. You can either use built-in speakers for audio or auxiliary cable for audio in or Bluetooth.

Costco and shopping carts (since we're on the subject lol)
I'm a Costco fanboy, so let's get that out of the way up front.
I think that overall, they don't gouge, they seem to be the place for tires and batteries, and as we learned in 2020, the place that doesn't take advantage, when items are on short supply.
Anyway, one downside, is there are always shopping carts everywhere. Seemingly more so, than any other chain store. Does anyone know why?

Starlink A Possible GPS Alternative?
How researchers at the University of Texas hacked the signal sufficiently to determine its potential application as a navigation system:

I predict that the current accuracy will improve as soon as Elon Musk figures out a way to monetize the data...

This week we're recognizing poibb!
Poibb shared a short note about replacing the battery in his 12 year old 255W, including how he handled two stripped screws.
Even when things don't go smoothly, sharing some details can help others who search the internet after running into similar troubles.
Thanks for taking a couple minutes to share your experience.

have you ever heard of "crazing"
When I mounted the over stove microwave last week, I had to remove the contents of the cabinets so I could drill for the bolts which support from the top.
In the cabinet was a large ceramic bowl, with 6 dessert plates if you will.
Awesome, we actually could use those plates. Washed the bowl and plates.
