A very quick way to check whether to use FAT or FAT 32 is to plug your rig into the USB. After it connects to the computer, start Defrag, your GPS should be listed. Under Defrags 'File System' header, it'll tell you what your units file system is. Mine is FAT 32. I would recommend formatting your SD according to that for full compatibility.
