I visited the Garmin site and it has a new update for the Communicator Plugin. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3607
Change History
Changes made from version 2.5.2 to 2.6.1:
Aviation databases can now be updated and/or installed from a Garmin Web Site.
Geocaching data can now be sent to a Colorado SD card. (Previously, the Geocaching data was lost if the card was selected as the destination device.)
Empty card slots are no longer shown in the device list.
Web pages can read free space available on the selected SD card.
Supplemental maps can be installed on C330, GPSmap 60C and similar Garmin I/O Protocol devices by a Garmin Web Site.
Fitness activities are now listed in order of date, most recent first.
The reliability of unit software updates on the Nuvi 800 series has been improved.
Has anyone tried this with 2xx series Nuvi?
I'm pretty happy with the capabilities of version 2.5.2 to load .WAV files in place of MP3s (after loading SOX.EXE) and would hate to take a giant step backwards with a new version.
Yes, as you could probably tell, got burned doing the last firmware upgrade on the bleeding edge

Garmin Communicator allows MapQuest, Google Maps and other mapping sites the ability to download your found locations directly to your GPS as a Favorite. It's pretty slick.

Actually, the only thing i really notice with the new update is a faster processing time with either mapquest or google. Also, the sync while downloading the updated version seems to go through faster.

The day before they put the new version up, I downloaded 2520 but thankfully had not installed it..so now I delete the .exe file and do an install on the new release. I'm glad I waited to learn more about what I was doing. Don't want to mess up my 880.
