Connecting to my phone, i have to grant it everytime???

Hi all,

I just got my first GPS for x-max, a Garmin 765T, love it so far.

It seems to act weird when connections to my Bluetooth phone, I have a moto krazr which is supported, once it is connected it works fine. However, every time Ii have to hit "grant" twice on the cell phone in order to get it to connect, that's a PIA. I wish it would connect automatically with out me needing to hit anything. An

Any one got any ideas?

I have installed the new software version 2.50.

Thanks
Danno

With my Blackberry Curve, I have to set my Nuvi 780 as a "trusted" bluetooth device before it will connect automatically. There may be a similar option on your PDA.

Hope this helps.

yep, you want to look for this option in your Blackberry's bluetooth device settings. you can modify some devices to connect automatically (if Bluetooth is turned on), or require to ask you each time. newer ones even let you block certain devices.

My Blackberry has an "always connect" setting

Like the "trusted" comment above, you should look in your cell phone settings for an option to "always connect" or "trust" your Nuvi. It should always connect automatically whenever it's in range after that.

it now works

Thanks guys, i got it to work. I actually needed to set "access" to automatic, it did not have a "trusted setting. You guys got me in the right direction, but wow it was like 3 levels deep. Now it automatically connects when they are close.

Thanks again
