all poi files

Not sure why you would want all of the files. With the amount of the ones here you may not be able to load them with out and extra hard drive. There are a lot that are only for local use in certain cities or states. From what I know you can only download one at a time and then I have had the problelm with the system only letting me do two to three downloads at a time but them I had to start each one by itself. You probably wouldn't want to download all the POI's becaue first, you would have a number of duplicates. As I'm sure your unit has many of these POIs listed in it internal memory. Also, you will definitely find errors in the download that will ultimately effect the process.

Don't know if anybody has tried it with a laptop or not but a few have tried putting a LOT of files on a stand-alone unit and there IS a practical limit.

Before you run out of space, having the CPU and software try to keep track of a HUGE number of POI's is just too much to do and everything slows down.......or stops altogether.

I think it is a bad idea; others have tried and failed. If you give it a go, please let us know the results.

Oh, and no, there is no way to "batch" downloads; they are one at a time.
