Equatorial suggestions
OK, so in several months my wife and I will be in Ecuador. We'll be heading to Mitad del Mundo, or Center of the World. Now here's the question. What cool things can we do at latitude 0.0 that we can't do anywhere else on earth? I've heard of balancing an egg on a nail at the equator, but does anyone else have any other suggestions that we can do and take pictures of.

Satellites Collide
Here's an article on the recent collision between two satellites. DON'T freak out, they weren't GPS!, but something to think about. There is getting to be quite a bit of junk up there.

Event_Logger
I was searching the forums. No body here has ever posted any thing about Event_Logger. I have installed in my TomTom One. I have taken the code and modified it a bit. Also removed all its custom menus. It works great. It is fun to come back from long drive and upload the logged way points into maps and re-live the journey online.

Hmm, posted just after midnite & it didn't count as activity
It turned out that I posted to this forum for the week of Feb 2nd and thought it qualified as activity for that week...since the new week Feb 9th had not been activated yet.

Custom POI's already in GPS
I love this site but I was thinking, how do I know if I am not just doubling up on POI that are already in my Nuvi 760, like McDonalds etc?

Hi I am sorry that I have not been on the sight in a while but just wondering if any body can help me with a list of gps that I might be able to use to down load the red light cameras and how I would be able to go about it. Thank You.

Height, Propane and Tunnel Restrictions
The wife and I RV for 4 to 6 months a year. Our rig is 145 inches tall, and 8ft 6in wide and carries about 10 gallons of propane. Having road notifications of limitations would extremely helpful. Is there anything out there short of buying another GPS? We have 4 Garmins now with the latest being a 760.
Thanks
Bill

Unit Set Up and Different Formats
I'm looking for a preferred unit set up defined. Is there some standard? There are many different formats and I'd like to find out what they are intended for in a typical usage. The reason being is that besides from being a typical drive to here/there, I'm also a hiker... and in an emergency what is preferred?
So in the US, typical use that I see are:
lat/long
decimal degrees

red light cameras
i was traveling from the bay area to sonora and noticed at least one red light camera. unfortunately i was unaware of the process for noting the area and then introducing it to the poi factory.
will someone give me directions on doing this.

Red Light- You be the judge
The Orange County Register had this video on-line today-- The driver in the white car, following the truck, got a ticket for running a red light. He claims he did not run the light and plans to fight it in court.

Pretty close to really call.
