Kids...what will they think of next.

I was sitting here this morning prepping my nuvi 765T for my Christmas holiday drive to South Carolina, creating some new custom POI's and alerts, loading some fresh mp3's on the 8GB SD card, and creating some playlists.

What is the correct/acceptable way of submitting errors and omissions in POI files available on this site?
To the "owner" on the POI package page?

I suppose it says it someplace and I just have not found it.

I am wondering is anybody here has used Navizon. It sounds like it could be helpful in areas where GPS cannot be received directly from satellites.

I use Google maps all the time for custom pois.I stumbled across this video that may come in handy for someone wanting to make their own maps and adding pictures etc. See http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=62... and click on Watch a video on how to create my maps.

Hi All

Might I suggest placing an anchor in each post.

That would facilitate a direct link to the target post vs the target thread.

Users could then link the specific post and the referred party won't need to read the entire thread looking for the info referred to.

Unless of course, the forum design prevents this.

Just a thought.

OK, I know I've done this in the past but I can't remember how for the life of me. I'm trying to download an mp3 file. How do I do it? Clicking it just brings up a player to play the file and right clicking doesn't seem to offer any option that aplies.

Has anyone figured out how to send a Route from Google Maps to a GPS?

I've got a Garmin nuvi 770. I've been able to save locations via the "send to GPS" function of Google Maps, but when I make a custom route, the "send to GPS" function is disabled by Google.

I've tried a few workarounds from the Internet, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know how to add icons, bmp. icn. jpeg. etc to the Nuvi 750 icon library. The icons are so simple and small. I do not want them linked to any one specific POI.

I installed some software updates for POI file pages this evening. Here are the most significant changes:

* download buttons are at the top of the page
* CSV files can also be downloaded in OV2 format

The OV2 feature does a basic conversion using column 3 of the CSV file as the POI name. Info in any additional columns is currently discarded. The tool is not able to convert from GPX.

It's amazing this announcement to approve up to a dozen cameras came on the heels of another anouncement; Cedar Rapids is in financial straits and proposed a 2% sales tax increase. Their financial condition is so bad they were attempting to pass the tax increase without the required vote of the residents.

I don't have any mp3's loaded on my Nuvi 880, however, I have an 8gb micro SDHC card with my mp3's loaded on to it.

Here's my problem:

It's a bummer, but somehow I read posts last week and did not post myself. So now my perfect record is in the can. Too much going on down here in Alabama, too many friends dropping in to visit, and my husband put his computer on the desk instead of mine, and I did not connect when I should have.
