Loading gpx POI files for USA locations

Hi guys,
I'm a new boy to poi-factory. I am resident in UK but will be on vacation in Florida in May. I have a Garmin 350 which has Europe mapping, and I have purchased a City Navigator SD card which has USA and Canada mapping. Can I load POI's for USA locations on the Garmin 350 before my vacation. I am interested in the gpx file for Florida golf courses and I would like to have this info at hand so to speak. As a matter of interest, I saved this gpx file on my PC [ as recommended by the site ] but I am unable to open it ! If I wish to load the POI info now [ assuming that I can ] do I need to have the SD Card for USA inserted - obviously the card data will not be recognised as I am still in Europe !
Any help out there ?
Regards to all

Loading POIs
There is a lot of information on this site regarding loading POIs, but basically, you need get POI Loader from Garmin's website. You will be able to load the files directly in your 350 once you have POI Loader. You don't really need an SD card unless you are going to have a large number of POI files. The 350, itself, has nearly 500 megs of available storage space on it.
1st things 1st
First off, let me welcome you to the site.
Secondly, you should have no problem loading either CSV or GPX files for the major attractions in FL or wherever you are going. As you read through the messages and get acquainted with this site and its features, you will want to get a copy of the red light and speed camera files. Florida has been busily installing the critters to soak the tourist - make that provide for the safety of the motoring public, so a fresh copy before you start traveling would be advisable.
One final thing - don't forget the steering wheel is on the wrong side for a reason - it matches the fact we drive on the wrong side of the road as well.
