Hi. I don't know how much flexibility POI Factory has with the forum software, or even what forum software is being used, but I would like to suggest a small enhancement that I think a lot of users would appreciate, I know I certainly would.

I was looking for e-books reader for my wife. there are several options (Sony, etc) which allow you to read books, view pictures and listen to music.
It seems to me as a very easy feature to add to GPS, allowing you to have many books available for reading with you.
Has anyone know about GPS unit which support this functionality? (not audio books).

Could someone tell me what US battery would work for an Italian toy that calls for a half torch battery. Used google to translate instructions and it calls for button and half torch batteries.

I have loaded a custom POI onto my garmin, all the poi's are listed and the images show up when I click the GO! button but if I am not routing to a location my proximity warning does not go off. I have heard that mp3's do not work on the 200 so I converted and loaded warnings in a .wav format. I have them labeled correctly in my POI folder.

I was sitting here this morning prepping my nuvi 765T for my Christmas holiday drive to South Carolina, creating some new custom POI's and alerts, loading some fresh mp3's on the 8GB SD card, and creating some playlists.

What is the correct/acceptable way of submitting errors and omissions in POI files available on this site?
To the "owner" on the POI package page?

I suppose it says it someplace and I just have not found it.

I am wondering is anybody here has used Navizon. It sounds like it could be helpful in areas where GPS cannot be received directly from satellites.

I use Google maps all the time for custom pois.I stumbled across this video that may come in handy for someone wanting to make their own maps and adding pictures etc. See http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=62... and click on Watch a video on how to create my maps.

Might I suggest placing an anchor in each post.

That would facilitate a direct link to the target post vs the target thread.

Users could then link the specific post and the referred party won't need to read the entire thread looking for the info referred to.

Unless of course, the forum design prevents this.

Just a thought.

OK, I know I've done this in the past but I can't remember how for the life of me. I'm trying to download an mp3 file. How do I do it? Clicking it just brings up a player to play the file and right clicking doesn't seem to offer any option that aplies.

Has anyone figured out how to send a Route from Google Maps to a GPS?

I've got a Garmin nuvi 770. I've been able to save locations via the "send to GPS" function of Google Maps, but when I make a custom route, the "send to GPS" function is disabled by Google.

I've tried a few workarounds from the Internet, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know how to add icons, bmp. icn. jpeg. etc to the Nuvi 750 icon library. The icons are so simple and small. I do not want them linked to any one specific POI.
