The 10 Worst Roads In America

I totally agree

with I15 in Nevada. I drove this road a couple of years ago. I was going about 70 and it looked like I was going backwards. People were driving way too fast. I also a lot of cars sitting on the side of the road, overheated. It was only 115 degrees that day!

Not doing anything worth a darn.

I-95 in CT too....

Not on the list, but it connects two regions that ARE on the list - the Cross Bronx in NY and the I-195/I-95 intersection in Rhode Island. I-95 in CT is ALWAYS under construction!!!!

Cross Bronx Expressway

I've always said the Cross Bronx is the highway to hell, and I see the author agrees. It's only about 5 miles long, but I've been stuck there for over an hour on a few occasions. I now avoid it like the plague!

Sad To Say It

being an Okie, but the I-40 Interstate in western Oklahoma is one of the worst roads you can drive. I am ashamed my state doesn't fix this road.

Another one is I-10 in

Another one is I-10 in Louisiana. It makes me seasick bouncing along. I avoid it whenever I can.

Million Dollar Highway

Is one of the greatest and most beautiful drives in a America. I drive it every year when I go 4-wheeling in Colorado. Every 4-wheel drive trail either starts from or returns to the Million Dollar Highway. I drive it at least 5 times everytime I go to Ouray.

Hope everyone else stays off of it, keeps down the traffic for me when I drive it.

Have to Agree

We were absolutely amazed at the "quality" of I-40 when we drove this stretch. I was actuallly dodging potholes on an Interstate. This was over a year ago so maybe things are better.

You're right, that section of I-10 between the twin span bridge coming into New Orleans East is the worst! Trouble is, it was bad before Katrina. Now, its worse.

Chicago, Circle Interchange

This interchange was also called "Spaghetti Bowl" by traffic announcers. I always try to avoid it. It's almost always in the radio traffic reports.

Truth be told ... Route 116

Truth be told ... Route 116 in Savoy, Mass. (Western Massachusetts) ... Road is all torn up with potholes. Along with numerous side road damage from an early winter Ice Storm.
