Hot and sticky in this neck of the woods. Probably the last kick of summer then a gradual cool down to Autumn. Fishing is still good and the hunting season will soon be here.

I'll be glad to get through hurricane season (untouched) and look forward to some cooler weather over here on the Gulf Coast. I didn't think I could sweat as much as I have this summer!?!

My Kids are going back to school this week. Summer is officially over for them, just starting for me!

There may only be a month until fall, but the weather in the midwest is actually just beginning to act like summer. July was unseasonally cool (not complaining)but enjoyable. Now the days are in the 80's & 90's, just time for the kids to go back to school!

Satellite Update
When starting out to church Sunday morning, my nuvi 265WT displayed a progress bar as its FM Traffic feature updated in ten percent increments. I knew that happened from time to time with my Sirius radio but I didn't know Garmin units did the same sort of thing.
Has anyone else had this experience? Could it have been related to a recent firmware download and have not been attributable to a satellite?

Just got back from the cottage. Wonderful time up north!

Driving with almost an empty tank in the country side...
I was very fortunate to have my GPS along. We ask for gas and in the middle of nowhere there it was a Shell Station. It was at night and dark.

Sorry for not being around lately but this being laid off without any income has me frantically looking for work! I never thought it would happen but this screwed up economy has wiped out a lot of my friends and their families. Just count me as another family going down the drain.
