I don't download many POI files, but after my last trip, I'm going to download the rest area poi file. My wife and I usually bypass rest areas and use the restrooms when we stop for food or gas, but this weekend we drove from Dallas to Nashville and took our dogs. They needed to use the rest areas more than we did so I was always looking for where they were.

This week we are recognizing A_User.

A_user, My question this week is: What did you not have your hands in this week? You are amazing, you rocked the house this week my friend. Thanks for all that you do for us.

You helped us update some of our more high profile projects this week, thank you so much for that.

We all think you are pretty awesome, even if you have a really strange avatar.

Just bought this model and want to know if others have it and what their experience has been. I understand that it has only been out for a few weeks. Thanks.

I see where www.costco.com is offering the 765T for $349.99. Not sure it is a bargain.

I am experienced with the military grid reference system, MGRS, for several years, however outside of the military, it’s not really in use.

With today’s modern gps systems, which is the more commonly used format?
DMS, DM, or DD

Last night I downloaded Garmin Installer Gtones for free from Pigtones and I got a free Devil voice also. I found this by downloading it from two different sites while I was looking for free Garmin voices. While I was at the Pigtones site I registered for a free POI maps.

Hope someone has the patience for this one.

I am working with Windows XP Home, SP3, on a new Samsung Netbook. I am new to Windows; I know my way around a Mac.

When I downloaded Garmin POI Loader, I chose Run vice Save.

Well, come this Saturday morning (7/25) the wife and I are on vacation. We're taking a road trip from Cleveland to the Black Hills of South Dakota. I have a motorcycle convention (no, not Sturgis) in Dradwood the following Tuesday through Friday so we're going to play tourist on our way out, and hustle back on the return trip.

Took my fairly new GPS with me to Houston today. I knew they had red light cameras in a few spots around Houston.

I do not know where to find the locations for the world countries capitols. Any hints on where to find a GPS free one?

WOW!! I can't believe how much great information is available on this site. If I sold GPS units, I would use this site to close any deal. I'm the geek of the family but I think when my wife sees what is available, she'll also become a fan. Glad to be here and looking forward to making a contribution as soon as I learn how.

Greetings. My wife bought me our Garmin Nuvi 260W in May of 2008. We used it on a trip up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. This thing is awesome. It was a seven hour car ride and it was accurate to within 10 minutes of predicting our arrival.
