Does anyone know if there is a way to determine what city you are in? I have a nuvi 760. I've tried the "Where Am I" and it does not. If I tap the screen while in 3D mode I get a flat map which shows sometimes a dot and city name, but doesn't have city boundaries and is not clear when driving.

Garmin just came out with the 2.6 firmware for the 7xx. It has quickfix II. What exactly does quickfix II do?

Since you can't "see" the c330 from your computer, how do you know how much storage space is available on the unit?

Since it will only store POI's there as opposed to its SD card, space is really important.

Would anyone confirm, once your poi's have been downloaded onto your unit (nu vi 750),for them to show up on your view map screen,would you have to select it from your "Point of Interest" file on your unit.

Today's (Jan 30, 08) gold box deal at Amazon is the Nuvi 660 for $350.

Being that I paid $370 for my 350 last year, I am thinking that is a pretty good deal. For a few more hours EST.

Who do I notify if I find a road that my Garmin does not recognize?
My GPS keeps trying to get me to go to work another way. There is only one way in. The road that's not on the GPS.

I've tried loading some POI's into my Garmin GVN-53. When insert the SD card into the Black Box it asked me if I want to load new POI's. I say "yes" and it seems to load the POI's normally. The POI's are even listed in the POI data base of the Garmin but when I try to use one of the POI's in the "Go To" list it causes the GVN-53 to reboot and start from the begining.

Does anyone know how many MB or KB the actual file is on the microSD/SD data card, City Navigator NT, Europe?

My dilema: I have a Nuvi 350 (US) and all my music is on my current SD card. Can I combine the two SD cards or is it protected? Can the Europe Map be directly added to the Nuvi? Is there enough room?

I get there without a problem, but for some reason the unit wants to change to a longer route coming back. Why would it change routes between the same two points?

Put the rest area poi on my Nuvi 350. I used poi loader in manual mode and set the distance to alert at 2 miles. At every point, the Nuvi alerts me with an mp3 I created at 2 miles away. Outstanding, right?

I recently downloaded the Rest Areas Combined POI into my Nuvi 350, but it doesn't alert me when approaching a rest area. I checked my settings and Custom POIs is checked, but I'm not getting alerted. What am I doing wrong?

I have made a poi .csv file for wachovia atms that I used Garmin poi loader on. I want the alarm to notify you .25 miles before you get to the ATM. But, when I test it, I have to pull in to the branch parking lot and drive very close to the ATM before I get the alert. No matter what I do, it does the same thing. The entries in the file are like:

My regular computer (using WINDOWS XP) is in the shop and I tried to connect my nuvi 350 to my old computer using WINDOWS 98).

Neither WINDOWS explorer or POI loader would recognize the GARMIN.

I had no problems before with my WINDOWS XP computer.

Any suggestions?

I have a nuvi 750 and I really dont need the text to speech while in a route. Instead is there a way to just have some sort of generic alert sound like a beep when a turn is coming up?

Hi, i got a nuvi 250 and i download the North America City Navigator 2008 in it witout knowing that it needed an unlock code and now im stuck with this map how can i roll back to the pre-installed version?? Do i delete de SUPP.IMG file?? Do i have some other file to delete...

Does anybody know if the nuvi 200 is sophisticated enough to only alert of a school zone during daytime hours?

Ok, I know I am asking for it, but I am in the market for a new GPS and want to know what is the best one to get.

I don't need bluetooth or traffic alerts, just the best GPS for the money. I currently own a C330 and want to step up to a nuvi, if that is the way to go. I like the compact size of that unit better than the Streetpilot series.

Any help would be appreciated.
