Have had a 1450LMT since 2011. Looking to upgrade but not sure which model. Features important to me (other than lifetime maps):

- HD traffic (when I use Google maps traffic it puts the traffic info from the 1450LMT to shame). I know HD traffic is updated much more frequently, and I assume this would bring it up to par with Google traffic.

Does anyone else have about 5GB of two IMG files on their Garmin?

I have in the 3790 system folder a
gmapprom.img 2.312.576 kb file

Then there is a MAP folder I have never seen before

and a

I have two previous backups for the 3790 and there is NO seperate MAP folder in them.

I have a 1450 that worked fine until an update. It actually worked for awhile past that so it may be unrelated but it started acting wonky with random reboots right after the update.

Now, it comes up showing GARMIN screen and goes no further. Computer doesn't see it, won't get to master reset screen and basically it is just a GARMIN 5" billboard.

Threw all sorts of wierd routes at it.. In SF, In Marin County, Greater Oakland area...

I just picked up a 2598LMT and was surprised to discover I could not customize the speed data field. I would much rather have a directional indicator or other information to go along with the arrival time that is in the other data field (which is customizable). I'm curious why this was "hard coded" into this version of the Nuvi?

Anyone have the alert sound, like the one that plays at a redlight camera? The Ding Ding sound in a .mp3 or .wav? I googled it and seem to find that exact sound anywhere. Thanks for any help.

Is the custom Icon size still 24x24 or can i make it larger? and is there a trucker who has the truck icons I can have emailed to me? thanks.

Using mapsource, is there a way to find a co-ordinate designated as: 39.951985, -75.169531

rather than N00.00.00 W00.00.00

I cannot seem to find the right setting. I found how to do it in basecamp but I like using mapsource better.

First off I have a Garmin Zumo 660. I downloaded the POI file from here that has all of the Harley Davidson stores (well at least most being it's missing New Orleans HD) and it states that I download a bmp file and stick it in the same file as the GPX file and it will add the HD logo to my map when I am riding and get close to the store (as long as I am not mistaking what they are saying).

I am so sad! I lost the cool breeze of the Windmill

Firstly I must say this site is pretty amazing. Seen some really good things on here already.

I actually found the site because I was trying to figure out how to change my red light and speed camera alert tone to something a bit better than the current tone.

I have the cyclops pack installed (it is just the trial) and with this I still just get the tone which I am trying to change.

anyone know how well the HD traffic works in the Raleigh / Durham / Chappel Hill Nc areas?

I needed to create a custom POI and I need the red warning to indicate when arriving 1/2 mile from the location.

I created a file called;
Home_Redlight.csv
Manually installed it to the SD card at a distance of 2640 feet.

nuvi 2xx7 and 2xx8 (GCD File) software version 4.50 as of September 18, 2014

Use Garmin Express to install this file.
