Moving favourites from Nuvi11490 to Kenwood with garmin
Can someone help be by explaining how to move my favourites from my old garmin nuvi 1490 to the new Kenwood DNN9350BT with Garmin gps?
I cannot locate any .gpx file in the new Kenwood Garmin files....

DOWN LOADING MAPS
I am trying to download the 2015-20 map into my Garmins. I get a msg (A connection to the Server could not be established. The msg appears on all three of my Garmins. I have checked all connection and all is connected.
What could be happening.

Connector for 2 pin on Garmin Nuvi 2460 LMT
Hello, while attempting to replace the LCD screen on the garmin 2460 LMT, there is a 2 pin connector that you have to remove. Well, I did not realize, you have to lift it up. I actually pulled the two wires (red black ) out. Where can I locate one of the connectors

Custom POI In Nuvi
I have downloaded a custom POI from this site and used the Garmin POI Loader to get it loaded into my Nuvi 1450. I see the file in the Nuvi POI subdirectory but when I do a Where To - Points of Interest and search for one of the items contained in the custom POI, it does not appear in the list. Am I missing a step?

Inaccurate directions - nuvi 2557/2597
I recently switched from nuvi 885 to 2597. The newer Garmin gives inaccurate readings of my location -- in one case, as I was stopped at a complex intersection, the device told me I was already past the light, on the wrong street and had to make a u-turn.

Do you feel the Garmin battery life should be better?
I remember the old days where a flip phone can have several days of battery life. I was then comparing a 2-3 day model vs a 4-5 day model, for charging purposes. Then the smartphones came and we are lucky to get around a day's worth of life. I mean a day's worth as in 7-9 hours not 24 hours. My Garmin does probably 2-3 hours.

Zumo 550 and 2015.20 map download
Lost my maps, so came home after my trip (only discovered it not working on the trip, so useless) and have spent all afternoon trying to get this done.
How can I start over and download the 2015.20 map? I have done it several ltimes with no errors, but the Zumo 550 on booting, will not respond to any screen hits? I can page through some screens, but no interaction.

GPS 3590 SyS FILE
I just did a Back-Up on my GPS 3590. Map 2015-10. Every thing went fine until the end. Gave me an error. "The file name you specified in not valid or too long. Specfy a different file name."
SYS_Log1_(the next two looks like musical notes)+1.
Type: MPLAYER VIDEO FILE
SIZE: 2.00 MB
It gave me the option to retry or skip. I chose skip because it would not let me retry.

GPS learning
My 3790 has the learning capability to track driving habits.
Where I live we have a sometimes 16 lane highway, 8 each direcction going across town.
There are the express lanes with much fewer exits. When I go 20 miles across the city I take the Express since I do not want to be in the slower collectors with in and out traffic.

Routes from 2013 Streets & Trips exported successfully to Garmin Nuvi 2595.
I have visited numerous forums over the web but after searching, reading and watching, I have finally achieve this task
I have successfully created routes in 2013 Streets & Trips, and then transferred these files to the GPX folder on my Nuvi 2595. The nuvi actually recognised these files.

POI files with Europe Maps
I am going to Europe and have made a number of TourGuide POI's. I loaded the resulting GPX file into my Zumo 665 using POILoader and I cannot get the POI's to show up. When I go to "Extras" on the Zumo and press on POI, I get the message "No matches found." When I load a GPX file with TourGuide points in the USA and Canada, no problem.

Garmin fixed mount (power problem)
I bought a new fixed mount for my garmin nuvi 50lm and it wont work. I have power to all points.but it wont work with the unit. I can plug in my regular charger and no problem. Is there maybe something wwith the way the new mount is wired ?

Garmin Smartphone Link 1.8, 8/21/14 iOSUpdate
I see that Garmin just released their update for the Garmin Smartphone Link v 1.8 on iTunes. I'm hoping that they fixed some of the annoying bugs like the glitch where it occasionally says no data connection after you leave your home and the phone switches over to cellular data.

Folders not grouped together
I did something to my Costco locations on my 1450. Deleted. In BASECAMP, I have Under 'my collection' a folder named Costco, with a subfolder named Costco Locations. All Costco locations are in order. It seems that I can't send 'Costco Locations' to my device. They end up in favorites but all mumbled jumbled up.

Installing maps on multiple computers
I have one GPS and Basecamp installed on three computers: my desktop at home, a laptop for travel and a Windows tablet, again for travel. Every time I update the maps, I end up downloading them three times: one to update the GPS and one of the computers then twice more to update the other two computers.

Nuvi display freezes
The last year or two, my Nuvi 1350lmt display has been freezing. I noticed that it will be working fine until it becomes apparent that the distance to the next turn is not working. Pressing the on-off button once reboots and it continues on just fine.
Splicing cables?
Hey all,
So I have a Garmin Streetpilot C550 (old reliable) unit that the cable is frayed which also has my traffic receiver which has the lifetime subscription on it. So I looked into pricing for a replacement cable and didn't feel like shelling out the money for it. It's not cheap... But what is cheap is just another power cable without the traffic receiver.
