New update this morning ....... Ran smoothly.

Just bought a Garmin 2597. I copied my favorites over from old 205w. The problem is I have so many favorites you can't see the map sometimes when navigating or read street signs when driving or zooming out. Tried to turn off whats up ahead through map tools and map layers. When you are in the map layer setting, the favorites disappear from the little map, but they still show up on the big map.

I have two questions:

This morning I found new update for Garmin Smartphone Link app for IOS. It has been updated to version 2.1.0. They added support for Zumo 595 Live Track. Bug fixes and improvements...

Nothing major unless you have Zumo 595.

I'm drawing a blank here. I just a Nuvi 770 and it has those hideous large green Heart icons for Favorites on the map. Annoying. I have Nuvi 760 and a Nuvi 2597 and neither one has those icons. I found the spot to Edit and change the map symbol, but the only choices are more hideous green ones.

I have a Garmin 770 and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have installed other truckstop poi's with their appropriate .bmp file and I know they have to match in name. However, when it comes to Love's I fail. Any suggestions?

I know that this has been discussed in the past, but I haven't seen anything just recently on this topic. For those that still use Garmin StreetPilot Onboard, how well is it working these days? Is Garmin good about sending out map updates in a timely fashion?

I just notice an update for Viago, (for those of us that have it), and the update seems to take only a few seconds, following the precise instructions. How can this be? It can't update that quickly. It did the same thing with the last update, last year. I finally just UNINSTALLED the maps and reinstalled them, hoping the new updates were included. Has anyone else encountered this?

Garmin Express is indicating a new update available. I'm sure it applies to other models as well.

When I connected my 3597 to GE this morning it had an update for me. This is for Time Zone version 17. I have no idea what other models may be included in the update nor what it changes.

I have a couple problems that I need help with.

Can anyone recommend a all inclusive collection to supplement my Kenwood DNN922 database. A reasonable cost is acceptable. I never know what is missing until I try to locate and would like to add a supplement across all locations and categories. I know I can add individual POI groups from the site, but would rather pay to have a single complete addon

I came from the TomTom world, first Garmin, I live in a rather large condo complex, they have no street names but the main entrance has a street address (i.e. 229 whatever road).

I have purchased the chip for City navigator Europe NT and have it mounted via a usb drive on my computer. This map shows in Base Camp with no problem but when I open Mapsource it is not in the list of installed maps. Is there a way to get it there. Now I understand that Mpasource is no longer supported by Garmin but surely there is a way to get this done.

In spite of my membership in this forum of nearly 8 years it has been a number of years since I owned or actively used a Garmin device. I recently purchased a refurbed 52lm from Amazon. I started by registering updating its maps and software. Then coming here and reviewing the tutorials.
I think I backed up the 52 onto my Win 7 pc. But I’m confused;
