Does anyone know how to locate the coodinates in the nuvi 200 when you can't see them in the extras/poi.

I loaded a POI to my SD card and now everytime i put on my nuvi 760, it always prompts me if I want to move to an area so if I take my card, it will still function. very annoying since it comes up everytime I put it on. Is there a way to stop this. I don't want to put any of the POI's I downloaded to the internal memory.

Have a Nuvi 360 thinking of adding live traffic with the FM transmitter option.

I live in Toronto. Anyone have any experience with this option? Anywhere in North America. Is it really helpful?

Hi - while this is not one of the 10 great problems the world faces, I would like to avoid using my Treo to find a restaurant in ZagatToGo and then putting the address into my Nuvi 370. Is there any way I can meld Zagat info with restaurant POI's. Does this exist somewhere?

I've tried dropping POIs on it but the unit doesn't find them. Heck, I don't even know what I can do with the SD card. How do I use content on it?

having freeze problems using a 4GB sd card any solutions? Newbie....

I use the StreetPilot c340. My love for GPSr has been extreme and as a result a good friend has purchased the 550. He would like to load some custom POIs I have done some that relate to family residences and business locations as well as some available on this site. All of my files are in CSV with 4 columns. My question is when I convert a GPX file the result is in four columns also.

On my Nuvi, when I want to seek a custom POI, I hit these buttons:

"Where to?" - On main screen and a LIST of options pops up.
"Extras" - On where to menu, and ONE option is available, the "Custom POIs" selection.

Does anybody know how to edit a srf file? I tried PS but it didn't work. I wanted to make the vehicle smaller on my Garmin.

This is a possible "advisory" that could cause Nüvi 350 to lock up.

I had my POI files separated into five subdirectories on my computer. No problem loading onto Nüvi 350.

I'm tring to load icons and sound alerts to my gps but they haven't seemed to load. any ideas? the red light locations worked.

Funny. I notice I have difficulty with picking up Satellite numbers 7 and 14, but at least I am still showing 14-16 feet in accuracy. There are times when 7 is either totally blank or totally not even showing up as a satellite I am to receive.

I just got back from CES and spent some time looking at all the new GPSR's on the market. I stopped by the NAVTEQ booth and asked one major question, how long does it take to implement a change to the maps once the error is reported to their site.

I used to have a Garmin gps 3 back around '96 and it had limited maps and it didnt have turn by turn directions but it did have some other cool features that I would like to see in my nuvi 680:

- in a multiple waypoint route it would to a countdown time and distance till the next waypoint.

- It would create a bread crumb trail of the route that I took

i.e., is a 260 different from a 250 in the same way a 360 is different from a 350? Is there a thread I am missing (the search function leaves MUCH to be desired, methinks)? What I am looking for is *50 = basic functionality, *60 adds ???, *70 adds ???, etc.

Is it possible to program a multi stop trip in Garmin (Nuvi650)?

Is the fact that there is no NMEA output from A Nuvi simply a result of there being no serial port on the device? I'm wondering if there was some sort of converter than could obtain NMEA data via the Nuvi's USB port ? Perhaps the Nuvi does not output this data at all.

Page 17 of the Garmin C530 Owner's Manual has a picture of the system screen that has these options:
GPS Mode
Safe Mode
Garmin Lock
Proximity Alarms

That same screen on my C530 has only the first three options; the Proximity Alarms option is not shown. All I have are GPS Mode, Safe Mode, and Garmin Lock - Proximity Alarms is simply not there.
