Maps not the same

After updating my c530 with CN NA NT 2008, I then installed it to my PC from (CD drive):\windows\setup .
Browsing the maps on the PC and GPS I noticed they aren't the same. A triple roundabout south of me is on the GPS, but not on the PC version.
You would think they would be the same maps as they came from the same DVD. I think Garmin has a hole in their programming heads.
.
In MapSource, does the map product that you are viewing show as being v2008 or v8? Does the view change if you change products with the drop down list?
Took a closer look
and found that the roundabouts, there are 2 next to each other and another across the freeway, show up in both but they are marked as full size roads on the GPS, and mapsource shows them as secondary roads making things confusing. Still, they are not the same maps. Both maps are CN NA NT 2008 from the same DVD.

Hmm
M.M. already suggested this, but are you sure you don't have more than one mapsource product installed in your Mapsource on the computer? You can have an older map set and the newer map set installed in the same Mapsource program.
I can not see how two different maps would be off the same DVD. Unless as you say the GPS and Mapsource interpret the roads differently.

I think they do. I've not experienced it with Garmin's own maps, but there's some major differences when displaying my own, home-made offerings.
But come to that, there's differences between the way different models display the same map as well.
