I hate to bother ya'll with this, but my Zumo 550 will open csv files without a problem. My question is, will it also open a gpx file along with the csv files??

Ok, just a bit of clarification.
Your Zumo will not read CSV files directly.
POI Loader will read both CSV files and GPX files equally well and will load them as Custom POIs.

On a separate note, your Zumo will actually read GPX files directly, but the locations will become Favorites and not Custom POIs.
