I am under the impression that there is a setting in the nuvi650 that allows you to change the earphone jack to a line-out setup.
Is that true? and how do you change the settings?

At least on my 760, when you get to the main screen, put your finger over the battery icon in the top right of the unit. Keep it there for about 5-10 seconds until the diagnostic screen pops up.
From there, I go to about the 5th page and change it from headphone to line out so I can run it through my mp3 player input of my car's stereo

Got into the diagnostic
Got into the diagnostic screen and scrolled through several pages until I found the screen that had a reference to line-out on it.
Did not try to change the settings yet - waiting for my auxiliary line-out adapter for my truck's stereo system to come in first - once installed, I'll change the setting on the GPS to see how it works.
ps: Did not notice an exit screen from diagnostics - so I just turned the unit off with the power button to get out of diagnostics - was it ok to do that??
