Garmin talk

Have had my Drive Smart 61 several times now, tells me that the interstate is closed ahead and recalucaltes to avoide. This has occured on several different interstates (57, 75, and 24). Have ignored and once I get further down the road it again recalculates and cointinues on the origional route.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I was looking for an address this evening and I noticed that Google Maps refers to a road as Juhles Road and Garmin Mapsource refers to the same road as Juhls Road. Not a huge deal, of course, at least not for me, in this case. I Am just curious which one is more likely to be correct?

I am trying to remove irrelevant maps from Basecamp.

1. I removed all the Computer Maps files using "Program and Features -uninstall command".
2. I removed all the maps from the SD Card in the nuvi 2689.
3. I removed the SD Card
4. I connected the nuvi 2689 to the computer and opened Basecamp.
5. From the menu item "Device Received from device" -nuvi 2689.

If I have multiple maps activated on my unit, will the unit read both, so as I leave the coverage of one of the maps, the second map coverage will automatically display on my unit.

Presently, the only solution to the above situation is to deactivate the first map before activating the second map.

I am too far from this situation to physically investigate with my unit.

I own a Nuvi 67LM GPS and recently, the device no longer produces any sound. After several factory resets, reinstall of the firmware, I decided to contact support. As I purchased for christmas last year (2017), I contacted Garmin along with my proof of purchase. The representative I spoke to apologized and told me that the GPS I currently have has been discontinued since January of this year.

My BaseCamp just reminded me that v.4.7.0 is now available.

Just added poi's to my 3597 using poi loader.
I received the successfully added notification.
They are not showing up when traveling.
I tried zooming in and being with 200 feet or less
They are listed under custom poi but don't show up on the screen.
Is there an upper limit to the number of poi's causing them not to show up?

Just got a new RV660, and it has map 2015.40 on it. Tried using Garman Express to update and no new maps for it. Email Garman Tech Support and got this as a response.

I have attempted many times to make a correction to a OSMap, but I have not had any success. I am looking for a contact for either OSM or another account member, to whom I can forward this information so changes can be made to the map.

I have 700 Disc Image Files, one for each of the contour maps in Canada.

How I can I combine these files to produce a Disc Image File that I can load into my Nuvi 2689

b. Have the SmartPhone app installed
c. Are IN the US

Can you get traffic info from europe if you get the screen to display roads in europe??? Probably not.

But the traffic in Paris, France shows up in Google Maps on a PC here in the US. Don't have a European map installed in my 3597LMT, so I can't test this.

Garmin Express v6.8.1.0 is ready to download.

Since my SD Card keeps falling out, (SD Slot is on the bottom which is a poor design), I am wondering if I can copy the map into the internal storage of the device.

What folder would I use as the Map folder is empty even though I have Garmin Maps installed

Can I delete some of the files,(all files not designated with US) in the Keyboard File?

I just found this folder in my computer on the C drive. I am using the forward slash since this forum does not allow the backward slash.
I did not create them.
Can anyone enlighten me why or how this came to be?

In each of the 2018 folders there is a .System,GPX,POI and Reports folder.

3597, and I have downloaded and installed, (on a SD card) one Topo Map. The only was I can see it is if I uncheck all the other maps and leave the Topo checked in my maps.

Is there any other way to view the Topo without unchecking all the other maps?

Last week I took a trip to go Upstate NY to go see relative for the first time since they move there.

I enter the destination on 2 of my Gps C550 and 1450 I take the C550 just for a back up just in case something go wrong on the way with my 1450 both GPS give me 281 miles and about 5 hours driving to get there.
