I picked up a pretty nice set of Dewalt cordless tools for a quite reasonable price at Lowes ... haven't seen much in the way of electronics, though.

Buydig has a couple. Not sure if a good deal or not.

Buydig has a couple of refurb Garmin DriveSmart units
https://www.buydig.com/shop/product/GRDRIVES50RB/Garmin-Driv...
for $59.99

And
https://www.buydig.com/shop/product/GRDRIVES61RB/Garmin-Driv...
For $118.99

I don't really know whether that is good units or good deals, since I have been ignoring the whole field for a while.

I was looking into a new GPS since My old Garmin 1680 lost it's traffic with the 2G shutdown. I have been using a Magellan for a few years, it's getting long in the tooth. I haven't made a decision to buy anything yet.

I wonder if the voice command is worthwhile? It sure works on google maps, which is why I suspect standalone GPS units just don't have the need they did. I still use the Magellan. But it's kind of a PITA to put a new destination in it.

Voice command could be handy but I realize the problems getting the functionality without internet access.

I found the buydig stuff in my slickdeals black friday spam.

Voice command

Voice command in a GPS is strictly an internal function, has nothing to do with Internet access!

My 855 Nuvi still receives traffic information just fine using FM radio signal. I have no idea if this broadcasting will continue in the future.

Voice recognition is nice, and it does not require any internet access. Note that functionality may be limited, depending on what map you have installed. (Apparently the Lower 49 and North American Maps have voice commands available, but smaller sections of this region (e.g. Northeast USA) do not.

Need one to replace my 1690.
