JUST BOUGHT A GARMIN 2450LM. have D/L THE LATTEST MAPS.
My problem is Garmin and map quest yahoo want to run me into Tampa fl to pick up I75 NORTH.I Live west of Tampa. there a hwy.east lake that take me north then hit hwy 54 East to I 75. DO I make a rout or just go and let the bitch say make u turn. Or shut off the GPS till I get TO I75? THANKS bob

I have a 2595LMT and I notice while on a trip this week-end that the JV took up less than half the screen. I thought that it was suppose to be half the screen. Does anybody else have notice that.

Does anyone know if Garmin is going to support the RoadTrip application in the future? I have found it to be a great database of destinations, personal POIs, and trip planning, but it seems Garmin has done nothing to maintain it for quite a while. I just updated my Mac to Snow Leopard and now the map detail function seems to be stuck at minimum detail.

Any insights greatly appreciated.

My GF has a 3 year old Nuvi (don't know the model) that we just freed from its plastic coffin last week! Question: how does it connect to the PC for updates, downloads, etc. as there was no USB/Garmin cord included just a 12V charging cord?

Don't know if it is just my bad luck or not. I had a Nuvi 275T which was ok most of the time but from time to time the voice will be severe distorted and needs to be rebooted to retore normal functioning. It happens once every few weeks. A few times in a year, it will also forzen and need to be rebooted.

It may be just me, but when I update my maps from Garmin; the speed limits on the new maps are not as accurate and the unit is very slow in calculating routes.

i downloaded POI loader to my computer.. it dos not work it tell me i need windows xp sp2 or higher
i don't i have windows 7 how can i get it to work ? BUT i got rest area csv file,truck stops gpx file and camping sites csv file. downloaded to my GPS. with out poi loaded way cant all the others do so

I am planning on replacing my garmin 750 jill seems tired and keeps thinking I'm on a different street or totally off the road and "recaluclates" over and over. I am thinking about the nuvi 3550LM. I don't need or want the traffic. I have the traffic on my work 1350 and hate the ads that come up. Anyone have the new 3550LM and any comments. How is the 3D view? is it worth paying for?

I installed custom poi's with MP3 alerts for Rest Areas, etc. However, I only get a ping alert. Does the 2460 use wav files or MP3 files for voice alerts - Rest Area Ahead, etc.

My old Garmin Nuvi 350 is starting to act up. Been a good unit and have used it for several years. Any suggestions on what new model to get. I notice that Costco always has them on sale, but not sure of the models to look for. I do want a bigger screen, voice prompts, easy to load POI's etc and trouble freeThanks for your help and have a great week.

2350LMT is now $124. Thinking about getting a 2nd because it's so cheap and you know the touchscreen will eventually fail....got the last one for $179 and it hasn't been a year yet.

Is there any way to get out of the computer interface mode and actually use the GPS in its normal operating mode while connected to a PC?

Try as I may, the latest round of Software Updates from Garmin cannot be installed successfully to my nuvi 1490LMT. The portion of the update responsible for the shortfall is the "Database for FM Traffic Providers." It is one of several Recommended System Updates that Garmin says are available.

All other portions of the software update were successful.

I currently own a 755 and i am looking to update it. i never like the old resistance touch screen and would like a newer more accurate one.

I am ocnsidering the 3590 at 399$ but was wondering what reliable and good other model should I consider?

I just picked up the new Garmin 3590LMT and am in the process of getting it road ready. The first thing out of the box after charging the battery I changed the unit to Mass Storage and did a complete backup. Next I registered the unit and began the map upgrade process. The unit came with maps version 2012.20 and version D3191020A.JCV of Junction View.

I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 855. I am thinking of upgrading and passing the Nuvi 855 on to my wife, (She doesn't know that yet), wish me luck on that one. What do you think is the best Garmin automobile GPS on the market today?
