GE 7.16.2.0 ready to download.

I have the Nuvi 2797LM , I keep this update, I went on a road trip this weekend and I was getting wrong directions and some places. I was going to Delaware on North I-95 when the gps was giving me directions to downtown Washington DC, which was out of my way, there was some traffic on the road but not that much.

Just downloaded new update.
I also noticed that one says 2024.10 America Canada & mexico and the other says America 2024.10 all US do I need both ?

Stables Lane was the street that led to the entrance of Stable Park. It no longer is and stops at a fence at the park boundary. Garmin doesn’t know about this and uses it in some routes. You don’t want to use it.

The solution is to use the “Custom Avoidances” setting to keep it out of any route.

For those that want/need the Large JCV File. Again, Garmin has split the large JCV file into two files, D9673020A.JCV (750.8 MB) and D9674020A.JCV. (77.8MB) Both files are inside a folder named "JCV".

How long until the next update? Discuss ...

Just started downloading 2024.10 from Garmin.

7.16.0.0 as of a few minutes ago. I use Windows so I assume something may be available for Macs as well.

Details seem to be

Fixed an issue with critical software updates not requiring a restart before a map update.

Extended timer to prevent failure for installing maps to the computer.

Fixed a crash when saving a music folder path manually.

Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Beginning July 1, 2023, Garmin map updates will be discontinued for certain Australian and New Zealand Nuvi and Zumo automotive navigation devices. The list of devices is rather lengthy but at least for the time being this change only applies to Australia and New Zealand.

I am needing help with proximity alerts not working. I have always used TourGuide in my files with no problem except that poi files like QuikTrip in Dallas or other cities where there's a lot of stores,my garmin is going off constantly. I usually have it set for 2 or 3 miles.

I made the mistake of updating my map from the 2018 version to the 2023.20 region but then lost my voice commands. Apparently I have to install the FULL version instead of a region however I need a uSD card for the latest version.

Hi All.

I have a NUVI 3590 and use the "Tongue" mount with the Ball & Socket.

The Ball keeps popping out of the socket so darn easily, it pops loose if I hit a large pothole.

Plus the "Arm" with the socket seems to droop and needs to be tightened up somehow.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to tighten things up with these ball and sockets type mounts?

Guys, we spent some time road-tripping this past week and I took my DS61 along to guide us. I can't say I have ever noticed this attribute before, but what are the blue green (teal) tracks that show up on the screen all the time? Adjacent routes? (This is not the light blue trip history track.)

Was hoping for a new set of maps.. but perhaps next year.

I went for a new job, but Garmin said no such address found luckily it was in google maps. I have never had this where Garmin could not find an address Once I got to my location, I was able to just save it. I thought about it if that happens again, I should be able to take the longitude and latitude coordinates even if it's not in the map correct? I tried it.

Garmin Express 7.15.2.0 is available for download. No issues installing it.
