I would never buy a unit without traffic and even then Google is better. Also depending on what you need it for you may want to pay a little extra if you tow something so you can get height/weight restrictions. I use a Dezl770. Will probably always be the case where Garmin is behind on road updates where Google and Waze can make updates faster and anytime they want. I use my Garmin to pinpoint entrances which may or may not correspond to actual address and in new construction areas use Google maps to get me there because Garmin won't show streets.
