if your intent is to add an abundance of POI files, consider getting yourself a memory expansion card before getting started. If you have a Drivesmart 66, it supports microSD cards up to 256 GB.

To clarify, let’s say you wanted to upload POI’s for Wendy’s, Whataburger, Burger King and McDonalds and perhaps more fast food type places. There isn’t a “set” per se that would give you all that. You would need to upload each individual POI file.

Welcome to POI Factory, golferguy! You came to the right place!

All the POI files you want can be easily loaded at once, or one at a time. Either way, use the Garmin POI Loader app.

There is tremendous capacity for POI files in your GPS, but I agree that a 16 to 32 GB micro SD card should be installed first because the map file is very large and will grow with future updates from Garmin.

Install To your POIs to your SD Card

The most simple way, to load the POIs to your SD Card, is to first make a subdirectory on your SD Card named Garmin. The next step is to create a subdirectory in Garmin called POI. Your SD card might show as F: and you will now have F:/Garmin. The second step will give you F:/Garmin/POI.
The first time that you download a group of files to the SD Card, you will load them to the Garmin/POI folder. When you open POI Loader, you will get a welcome screen, so just hit Next. The next screen will ask where you want to where you want to save the files, so first click on “Computer” and then select the Garmin/POI subdirectory on your SD Card.
After this, you will be asked where you where the files are to be found on your computer. Browse to where you’ve stored the POI Files that you want to load.
If you have files such as Rest Areas, where you might want to add a proximity alert, then you need to click on Proximity alert and add the distance.
When you install the SD card into your GPS, you will be asked if you want to install the files onto your GPS as well. Click NO and also click Don’t Ask Me Again. Otherwise you will use up memory, on your GPS.

If you want to have really good organization of your POI files on the GPS, you can create a multiple of individual subdirectories, but since this is a new thing for you, I think it's best to start off simple.
