Just saw that Garmin Basecamp 4.8.13 for macOS is available for download. Change log says "Fixed compatibility issue with some devices".

How to open a DMG file

Basecamp downloads as a .DMG file. How do I open it?

That is a Mac File. You need

That is a Mac File. You need https://basecamp.com/via and pick your flavor. Or if you do have Mac, then just double click on the DMG file
