Hi, On the c530 the only alert sound that comes up is just a beeping sound. I know that the c530 cannot play mp3 files, but is this beep alert sound a wav file? If so can this wav file be overwritten to play another sound or possibily a short sentence in wav. format?

i made a couple poi files now for my 360 (and uploaded them to poi factory). i noticed that when i use poi loader that certain poi files have a default proximity alert distance allready entered. is there any place i can go to change this distance to what i want it to be?

Should I keep the unit with a full charge or with a empty charge?

I have a Nuvi 660 with the 2008 maps loaded and for SOME REASON this address won't show up.

When I try searching for Main Street it can't find it YET Google Maps shows it clear as day. Any guess as to why the Nuvi can't find it?

Ive saved two new speed camera locations in Star Valley AZ (next to Payson), but I cant seem to be able to bring up the coordinates for them after I got back home in Phoenix. I can "go" to the cameras, just cant seem to find the lat/long for them...
any suggestions?

Just purchased a nuvi780. Seem to encounter couple of "problems" and would be great if someone who is experienced with the unit could help:

I JUST BOUGHT A NUVI 200W AND HAVE DOWNLOADED THE REDLIGHT CAMERA FILE AND HAVE TRIED TO PUT IN ON A SD CARD. THE FILE IS A EXCEL FILE. WHEN I PUT THE CARD IN THE GPS, I DO NOT SEE IT IN THERE OR ANY OF THE FILES EVEN AFTER HOOKING IT TO THE COMPUTER. CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET THIS STUFF LOADED. EMAIL ME BACK AT FIRESOUT@SBCGLOBAL.NET. Can anyone give guidance on updating my maps? $70 is pretty steap for a map that is shortly outdated (DC area is always changing...)

1) Are the maps updated on a schedule (ie can I buy right after an update?)
2) Is there an alternative to paying full freight through Garmin? (3rd party, sales etc?)

Well, I have two requests here...

First, I am looking for the Correct words to describe the two different ways to represent a coordinate on GPS.
#1) Latitude/Longgitude format, (38,57,07.24)
#2) Garmin Decimal Format (-118.3245,39.2345)

I just purchased a Garmin Nuvi 650 and would like to ask my fellow Garmin GPSers how to store multiple POI categories. For example, I dowloaded Midwest Lakes and Rest Ares and made a separe folders for the file. Going through Garmin's POI Loader, what I found was that my Nuvi only stored the latest file in the "custom POIs". Is there a way to categorize the POIs?
