Magellan and Custom POI files

I just tried to install and use a POI file on my Magellan Roadmate 3065 and it doesn't work. even the older one I installed a few years a go doesn't work now.(after software update). So I'll be saying so long to Magellan and stick with Garmin from now on.

yes

Magellan (at least the name) was bought a few years ago and the products being released with their brand are not even compatible with the old stuff. I believe it was Mio that bought the brand and they attempt to sell every feature as an add-on including their own camera files.
