POI projects

A few months ago we had a discussion regarding swimming holes and now I am unable to find the thread so I am starting a new one.

The owner of www.swimingholes.org (hilleg) has been working hard at turning the information from his site into POI Files to share on ours.

So far he has made one for Florida, Oregon and Alabama.

Would anyone have access to a list of Sunoco service stations across the USA. It seems that they are the only company to offer 91 octane fuel. My ride runs best on 91, so I am looking for that POI list.

Just wondering if there is a POI for Mail Boxes..I guess it would be a very large data base to do all of the states.. It would be handy if I could locate a Mailbox. I know we have POI for Post office locations, but what about mailboxes????

On my nuvi 350, I have a few california highway favorites as favorites where i zoomed out/then zoomed back in and marked the lanes. For example, if I want to go from LA area to OC and wanted to avoid the I-5, then use the section of 10E near 605 to get me directly to 605 rather than use the 5.

Airport locations of Canada would be nice.

Over the last few months I have come across this question numerous times and thought it deserved a good talk about and what better place than the POI-FACTORY to bring it up and dissect it.

I believe the categories (POI's) should be split into 3 parts.

High, Medium and Low priority POI's.

High level POI's to be updated at least once every 6 months.

I just completed a POI for a retail store chain that's located in 23 states. I want to submit it for consideration to be published in the POI Factory. What documentation should/must I submit?

I uploaded a file, but didn't here from Miss POI on the status of the file. I would like to create a list of user's favorite restaurants the same way we have a good mechanic PoI file. I am not talking the chain restaurants, we know what they serve. I am looking for those one only local favorites in your home town or some place you think is good.

Would users be interested in this?

I think the Sheetz POI file on the site is a copy of the one from the Sheetz website. Unfortunately, Sheetz is not keeping it up to date. I have two new locations in the Raleigh/Durham area to add to the file. How do we get these in?

I don't know if this is useful for people who travel a lot on different city.

for panera bread in california for west covina location, it seems to be on the wrong side of the road. i was driving down said it was going to be on left but it was on the right.

I'm working on a project to share with others at POI Factory but besides not being finished I have questions about uploading it.
The folder is called "Tampa Bay Eats" inside that folder are several csv files, Chinese.csv, Italian.csv, Cuban.csv, German.csv etc.
My question is how I get for the files to appear together and ideally inside the folder Tampa Bay Eats?

I have had no problem adding poi's to my garmin c330. Is there a way to save multiple poi's to my 330? Currently, each time I add one, its the only one that shows up under my poi's. The ones I added before it don't show up.

First time poster here, as I just got my first gps (Nuvi 260) for Christmas. I have been messing around a bit with some of the POI files here at this website and am most interested in the Dunkin Donuts file. I am in CT and notice that there are not very many, if any, of the CT DD locations in the POI.
