Mary Update

Just thought I would let everyone know that I talked with Mary and her 99 yr old mother is not doing well, and she is really busy with family and all. She said she would be back when things get better

May we all send our thoughts and prayers to her and her family while she goes through this sad time..

This week we’re recognizing, Donaldb530!

Donaldb530 has been with us for over 9 and a half years.

Last week he updated 5 of his many files including, Trader Joes. While I don’t personally shop at Trader Joes (mainly because ours is located in a really inconvenient location), I know a lot of people who are obsessed with shopping there.

Diners, Drive ins, and Dives

So what is the latest DDD POI file? One I see here is dated 2012. Is there a 'best' DDD file that is kept up to date? Hungry on the Road!

Thanks

While I'm fishing for information...

...I might as well go whole hog. Before my old computer died, I had a terrific Lat-Long finder. I could either click on an area and get the coordinates or I could put in the coordinates and it would show me the area. However, when the computer crashed, everything went with it. I had all of my passwords written down, but not so with some of the websites.

e-bike

Any Factory members into electric biking? I recently traded in my conventional 24 speed Giant bike for a Gazelle Arroyo e-bike with a Bosch electric assist motor. I ride mostly on urban streets, paved trails and packed limestone trails. As I get older and experience shortness of breath and generally decreasing stamina for endurance, I found myself avoiding hills, long rides and windy days.

Failure to save GPX file

I recently bought a new computer since my old one died right in the middle of doing taxes. I have installed Office 365 on the new machine, however, when I try to download and save a GPX file to my POI folder, I can not get it to open. Any suggestions on how to correct this? I usually can figure stuff like this out, but this has me totally confused.

Quicktrip coordinates

I have noticed that, at least in my area, the Quicktrip store coordinates must be way off. Most of them, I do not get an alert at all when I drive right by them, or I only get an alert when I am actually parked in their lot. I have that file set up with the QT icon, csv file and wave file.

OH NO! NOT AGAIN: Microsoft Microcode Updates Defend Intel CPUs Against Spectre

Microsoft released a patch that delivers Intel’s microcode updates for Spectre to Windows 10 systems with certain 6th-gen (Skylake) CPUs. You should know, however, that this patch isn't as permanent a solution as patching via BIOS updates.
